Wow. I thought it had received that designation when the Civil Rights Museum opened. I guess not. But I could have sworn that, during my tour of the church, the park and the museum during the opening it was said by someone it had been placed on the national historic register.

Oh well, I'm glad it's finally on there, regardless.

I'm not sure being listed on the National Register of Historic Places is quite the same as being declared a landmark.

Damn, I wish I'd paid more attention in that Historic Preservation class.
