The early signing period in college athletics continues through Wednesday of this week.
Kennesaw State men’s basketball coach Tony Ingle announced the signing of two players on Monday: Aaron Anderson and Mirza Sabic of Central Arizona College.
Anderson, a 6-foot-7 post player, is averaging 12 points, 13 rebounds this season. The 6-6 Sabic averages 14 points and six rebounds while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range.
“We expect a lot out these two men as soon as they get on campus,” Ingle said.
Just checked Ksuowls.com and its there too
THe guy has some fundamentals thats for sure and quick first step.
Didn't Ingle talk about how he was trying to get players from Georgia staying at home? I mean, by all means go where the talent is but that seems odd.
Central Arizona College..? Is this a JUCO or what? How many years will they have to play at KSU?
They will have three years at KSU. Pretty sure they are Juco's. Nick, he did say that. I am confused as well lol Oh well I believe we have three more offers available as we should get two scholies back for next year.
"As a result of these departures, the retention figures for the basketball program -- critical in the calculation of APR rates -- were negatively impacted. Therefore, in accordance with NCAA regulations, the university will lose two men's basketball scholarships next year (THIS SEASON), Pope said, primarily due to the lost retention points"
I am sure one of those will be a PG.
Some writeups about the two players:
Aaron Anderson Freshman Power / Small Forward 6’7” 210lbs Marana, AZ
Qualifier 16 points 13 rebounds 4 blocks 3 assists Mt. View HS
“Aaron is an exceptional athlete who has a knack for rebounding in his area and out. He has consistent range to 18’ but can step out to 3pt as a threat. As his ball handling catches up to his athleticism and scoring ability he will be a great small forward. Tough defender who blocks a lot of shots from both help side and on his man.”
Mirza Sabic Freshman Shooting Grd / Small Fwd 6’5” 215lbs Surprise, AZ
Qualifier 28 points 7 rebounds 3 assists 50% 3pt Deer Valley HS
“Mirza is a pure scorer in every sense of the word. He can score in a variety of ways using his NBA range shooting ability or his strength to post up smaller defenders. He can put the ball on the floor from the perimeter and finish above the rim or knock down a 3 over the top of the defense. Has shown ability to score at will and in bunches.”
