against Tulsa then we had against Ole Miss. The Rebels had outstanding guards and could put unusual pressure on our newcomers.
Made it difficult to get into our offense.

On the other hand, Tulsa's strength seems to be their inside players, and they don't control the ball and also aren't as likely to prevent our perimeter players from making some plays.

I think Derrick and Montrelle might play a larger role tomorrow night. They have the size and length to play with taller players, along with Wayne. At least we have a lot of fouls to give if we don't give them up too early.

I won't be so foolish as to predict that we win, but as I said about the Harding game. I expect Tulsa to win, but it wouldn't surprise me if we won the game. I will be disappointed if we don't play a lot better than we did against Ole Miss, win or lose. Looking forward to St. Gregorys.04-cheers

Given that we play inside first, I think a case could be made that Tulsa's inside game could present more problems for us than Ole Miss. I suspect their guards are pretty good too.

At least we might be able to get the ball inside some against Tulsa. We probably had a tough time even doing that against Ole Miss with their tall, talented guards. What we do with it after we get it inside, that will yet to be determined01-lauramac2

Tulsa has a true inside out attack, they have a good guard in Uzoh and they have a potential NBA post player in Jordan. We need to get Jordan in foul trouble because that will probably be our only way to stop Jordan. Tulsa's guard play is not too shabby either. To me Tulsa is a better all around experienced team than Ole Miss. And Wocjik is a good coach. So I wouldn't be surprised if we get blown out.

At this point I don't know what to expect. Each game might be like waking up in a new world every day. Just enjoy the outing. No expectations. Then we won't be disappointed. I still think we'll be pretty good by the time it's all over. As Steve said after the Ole Miss game. The season isn't a sprint. It's a marathon. Just keep on running.04-cheers
No expectations. Nice.

Someone once said, "Happiness isn't getting what you want, but wanting what you get". I sure don't enjoy losing, but I can't change anything either way, so I figure if I expect to win every game, or even most, I'm probably going to be disappointed a lot, so the best thing is just to enjoy the UALR games for whatever they're worth, and hope for the best.

Look how miserable fans are of programs that they feel should win the national championship every year. Kentucky is a prime example. They could win 25 games, get to the Elite Eight and lose, and their fans would be absolutly miserable, and probably ready to fire the coach. Life is too short to live like that. I will bitch and gripe when we don't allow our kids to play an entertaining brand of basketball, because that is something that can easily be changed, but other than that, I pays my money, and takes my chances.04-rock
Here would be my keys to beating us (Tulsa):

Get Jordan in foul trouble. (He fouled out in every "bad" loss we had last year. Ohio, Tulane, Central Florida, and a close win over Missouri St.)
Make us shoot from outside. (8/31 this year)
Force turnovers. (We turned the ball over on 21.5% of our possessions last year)
