UT loses at HOME to EIU? Chimps fall to Princeton. Nice win for EMU. (Sorry, General)
i just checked out that CMU box score...

attendance: 707

haha
Ben Simons scored 12 for Drake and was the second leading scorer.

I wish Hawkins would just go with the talent, rather than try to ween them into D-1 ball. If Simons is here he's coming off the bench even though he might have more talent than say Martell. Both Hutcheson and Brown need to be given a long leash and consistent PT.

Toledo is very young

What the he!! are you talking about? You're lamenting Hawkins' development of talent based on Simons being here and coming off of the bench and pre-whining about your "playa" Hutchenson even though you haven't seen a rotation yet?

What?!

Please, go back to cheerleading, this is nutty.

Kellerman- 5 points, 1 rebound in 27 minutes. What injury is he coming off and is he 100%.

Harmon- 22pts, 6-11 from three. 2 assists, no turnovers. I have to admire EZ for giving a walk-on that kind of latitude to develop. Harmon made a lot of mistakes early, but was allowed to play through them and is a player.
Oh, I see, you're on your "Hawk doesn't develop talent kick" and are now laying the groundwork. Jumping the gun, starting a little early pal, timing is everything.

You on roids or something. You're always trying to pick a fight lately.

You gotta admit, DB nailed you on his analysis of your analysis though, CD. You clearly were setting up your case with the posts.
When I interviewed Hawk in August he talked about giving the freshmen a longer leash. In the past he didn't want them to screw up, and then destroy their confidence, so he gave them small exposure of 2 minutes here and 3 minutes there. I'd like to see him do just that. Let them play through mistakes.
Eastern winning at Oakland sure caught my attention.

Instead of having different rules for different players why not just treat all the players the same and play the 9-10 players who give WMU the best chance to win? Isn't that what most teams do? Play to win. Play the players who give us the best chance to win right now. Don't play based on potential but instead play based on current ability. This is not rocket science. Every years there is all this hype over the incoming freshman when in reality a David Kool like freshman who can contribute right from the start is rare at the MAC level.

Here's a web site I found that shows the career stats trends of current and former WMU players. Note how many players since 2003 who have had their stats actually get worse during their 2-4 years at WMU. Why is that?

Some examples:

http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/...ndre-ricks

http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/...ael-redell

http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/...ilver-laku

Use the FORMER WMU PLAYERS option to change players.
