Anyone know more about the circumstances of this young man's death? Was he crossing I-630, or walking down the busy highway? I did not know that he had planned at one point to play for the Trojans. His story is in some ways mysterious and tragic. I don't recall that he was a standout ballplayer in HS. I don't know about his academics. Reading the obituary makes me wonder exactly how did this young man believe he could make it at a place like Purdue. What was the basis for him being recruited to play in the Big 10? Seems to me he would have done better by signing with a smaller program.

I know nothing about the present situation. I do know Purdue apparently thought he was good enough to play in the Big 10. He got in some minor trouble there and was going to play at UALR. I heard 2nd or 3rd hand that he decided he was good enough to go pro and left before he played a game here. That's about all I know.
