Anyone?

Tanya, one of the things on my bucket list is to get a tat. Yes, I'm old and yes, I know I'm insane but I have been thinking about it for 3 years now. I have finally decided to get a tiger paw. I think I want it on my hand but probably could be talked out of that location because of the pain involved putting it there. Just yesterday I thought about doing exactly what you have done here and ask where to go. Maybe we can go together. You can get highly intoxicated and I can od on caffene before we go ? 03-lmfao
Southaven Tiger does good work, and is cheap as well.

Ramses Shadow II by the pyramid. Costly, but excellent work.
I wouldn't reccomend getting highly intoxicated b4 you go unless you want to bleed like a stuck pig.
What about Trilogy by the U of M? A freind just had one done there and loves it. It looks good.

They apply them with needles and ink and then they scab over and sometimes get infected and make you look like you belong in a trailer park. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Even if you live in a fancy golf community you are not immune to trailer park tendencies. I'll leave the "trash" moniker for you to use at your own discretion since that is not the word I would use.

That's my Tiger Paw! I love it so much!

And by the way, I have gotten 7 tattoos from Trilogy. They are a bit pricey, but they use new needles every time (a lot of shops don't), and they're clean and have nice people. Defintely the place to go.

Yea maybe if you like tribal armbands and just neglect to even take care of your tattoo that will happen.

Back to the topic. If it is something as simple as a blue paw then I am sure you could go anywhere like trilogy and it iwll be fine. Ramses Shadow II is the best place though in my opinion.

If you do actually get a tattoo they will probably tell you to use some kind of lotion with vitamin e in it to help the healing process. My advice would be to go to a walgreens or pharmacy and just buy vitamin E gel caps. You can prick those with a needle and just squeeze them on to your tat.
I have been wanting to get one as well! I want the m logo on my ankle. I am also thinking of getting 2 angels with my kids names on my left shoulder. I am just to much of a wimp!

Me too. You should come with missJ and I, we'll have a tattoo party....02-13-banana
Sounds good to me! I need to get some money together first...(maybe TIPWAL can help?)
Wow! You are some brave women. No needles for me! I cannot think of anything I want to be around less except maybe rain.
I've always wanted the logo but I'm too scared to do it. I've heard nothing but good things about Ramses Shadow but I hear they have a long waiting list and they are pricey. I'll take some money to get mine done too.
I know, instead of one of those girly makeup or jewelry parties, we can have a tattoo party...That would be different and a lot more fun 02-13-banana
Not sure the name of the place, but I got one at Highland and southern in the old Doughnut place, about 17 yrs ago. Obviously a long time ago, so I am not making a recommendation as I was only there once. I am just making an observation.

It was 20 mins of pain, but I guess it was worth it. I chose the wrong place to put it. And, I'm a wimp. If it had been my arm, maybe not so bad.
I'm ready when ya'll are...just tell me when and I'll be there. As long as some one holds my hand I'll be fine. 03-lmfao
Freaks. I'm going out the way I came in (sorta).
Jake at Underground Art in Midtown did a great job of a tricky design on my back. I don't know if he is still there or not, I got the tat 5 years ago.

The guy that ran that place Chi is talking about is the crazy dude that got caught with the automatic weapon and went to jail. Trilogy is on the other side of Walker.

Getting a tattoo reminds me of what my daddy used to say to me when I wanted to do something because everybody else was doing it. He would say, "I hear they're eating $hi+ sandwichs now. You gonna eat one?"

Psycho Rocky. He had a gun shop next to McDonalds on Highland and got caught with an automatic weapon. He also had a tattoo shop at the corner of Highland and Southern next to Whatever. He lived on Highland south of Park for a while until he went to jail. After he got out he still lived in that neighborhood. He suffered from a mental illness that prevented him from leaving that immediate area and was the defense for his weapon possession. Judge McRae went to his house to hold the trial there. A week before he built a wrought iron fence around the house. At least that's how I remember it going down. I saw him after he got out when I went to Whatever to buy a new screen for my hashish pipe and he had his hair and beard all cut off and he looked like Charles Manson's younger brother.
Man, I just did a little research on Ramses' Shadow and I came away VERY impressed. From what I read it sounds like these guys are some of the best in the country and maybe the world. I would definitely go to them if I was getting something with a fair amount of detail, regardless of the waiting list and price.

Was his real name Ronnie Marino? If so, I used to know that dude, and was somewhat of a friend. He wasn't too, too crazy back then. Maybe he snapped?
I don't know his real name but he claimed he couldn't leave a two mile radius from his home near Highland and Vanuys due to his illness.

From what I read it sounds like these guys are some of the best in the country and maybe the world. I would definitely go to them if I was getting something with a fair amount of detail, regardless of the waiting list and price.

Yea they are pretty amazing.
