who else does? there's more Yankee fans across the country than anyone else.
The Yankees didnt just win it-- they took it from the little NL b!tch defending champs. TOOK IT. The best part is watching one nut Kruk be so upset on ESPN.
More doesn't equal better. There's more Kensucky fans than Memphis fans, and we all know they suck.
You have an "interesting" view point, 15....one that obviously helps you get to sleep at night.
Look, I'm actually glad that the Yankees won too. I like A-Rod; he's been given a lot of crap for many things he didn't even want. He wanted to go to Boston for less money. It was the union who overruled it, so several reports indicate. There are several other players on the team who seem to be as genuine as anyone you'll find on, say, the Stubs or the Cardinals or whatever your allegiance in the dying MLB is. The Yankees' success and how it irks other fanbases makes the MLB actually interesting.
However, 15's presentation of pride in the Yankee's deserved, and earned, championship is unbecoming.
The Phillies are worthy of respect. They have an impressive lineup. I don't watch during the regular season (who does, really? Not many). But the Phillies have several great, classy players. They're no "b!tches," so to speak. And describing the vanquished in such terms only diminishes the Yankees fanbase.
Congrats to the Yankees. And congrats to A-Rod and my rookie card of his. Hopefully, MLB can take this opportunity of a high note to repair some of the damage that their past decisions have inflicted on the game and fans. Maybe start by returning the Civil Rights Game to its birthplace, though I won't hold my breath.

What a front runner. I'm a Pirates and Bucs fan and I'm content with it. Especially since my Bucs are one of the two NFC teams to win a Super Bowl this decade.
Congrats, here's a high five.

look people, I couldnt give a flying flip what 1 single one of you think about me or my opinion. I dont know you personally and really dont care to. Most of you bashed the Yankees this year and NY got the last laugh!
Bought it, stole it, won it, had it given to them-- however you folks wanna rationalize it--------------- the WS trophy is home in the only place it belongs!!!!!
And STL fans- maybe the Cards can actually win just 1 playoff game next season for ya. Its been 3 yrs since they've even won a single playoff game. Talk about "irrelevant".

It's not the Yankee's responsibility to try to lose, or try to be less competitive. Much of the hatred against the Yankees is misplaced. They aren't breaking any rules, nor are they anti-competitive. The organization has not broken any rules when it comes to acquiring players.

The New York Yankees won it fair and square with the rules in place right now in Major League Baseball. They played better against the Philadelphia Phillies and the best team won the World Series without a dobut. New York had the least holes of any team in baseball and did very good, indeed.

The Yankees are the best team that money can buy. Only took them about a Billion dollars in salary to win one championship this decade.

EXACTLY!!!
Major League Baseball is a complete joke in this regard and one of the biggest reasons I am no longer a fan of MLB.
Who give's a sh!t if your team can go out and buy a championship and then have pathetic fans come in here and try to talk smack?
"Baseball's four league championship series teams were all among the top nine in opening-day payroll this year, led by the top-spending Yankees at $201 million. They were joined by the No. 6 Angels ($114 million), No. 7 Philadelphia ($113 million) and the No. 9 Dodgers ($100 million)."
No room for the little guys.
TB bucked the trend last year with a $51 million payroll that was 28th out of 30 MLB teams.
Go Royals, Pirates, Brewers!! F the Yankees and their bankroll!

sure sounds like a lot of crying from the "have nots". Sports Talk radio in NYC has been awesome today -laughing at all the crybabies saying the Yankees bought it and making fun of Jimmy Rollins and his stupid predicitons.
You give Cowboys fans a bad name.
When they finally wise up and institute a salary cap in Major League Baseball, the Yankees will never win another title.
They spent DOUBLE the payroll of the Phillies to buy a championship.
Pulling for the Yankees is like going to Vegas and pulling for the house.

I really could care less about major leauge baseball but the Yankees did what it took to win so give it up for the Yankees.
I have no problem with the outcome...the Yankees beat us. We didn't lose it. They had better pitching than the Phils and were able to get the timely hits and the Phillies couldn't.
Here's hoping for a rematch next year.

I don't know...fewer strikeouts by Ryan Howard and more effective pitching by Cole Hamels could have done it...
It's not like the Phils were overrmatched, they just underperformed.

Bull. They'll still manage to win, maybe not as often. None of these salary caps or revenue sharing or playoffs or BCS alterations have really changed who's always on top. Decade to decade, the teams, programs, franchises with a commitment to winning will still manage to draw talent. What may change it is ownership, or a small window of time.
And please spare me this "bought a championship" crap. That ignorantly overlooks the importance of chemistry which is the difference between this Yankees team and the past eight or so years when they've whiffed. And it distinguishes the Yankees of this year from say the Mets, Angels, and Dodgers.
You can't throw money at a league and win. The Yankees have proven that, because of the years they haven't. You can throw money and improve chances of making the playoffs, but all that gets you is the Red Sox and Cubs of the Eighties. Appearances, but no pennants.
Instead of a salary cap, impose a salary floor. Force KC, Pittsburgh, etc to spend, instead of pocketing the revenue shared socialistically by the Yankees, to the detriment of their teams, players, and fans. Fans who are so blind by loyalty they are more focused on the Yankees playing the right way *under the current rules* than they are lighting a fire under their own franchises' a$$ to get better.

Same here, lol. I was actually happy to see the Yankees win. But fans like this with an overinflated sense of the importance of such a victory don't reflect well on the their fanbases.
way to buy the world series
Since their last WS title in 2000, the Yankess have spent over 1.5 BILLION dollars in payroll.
Over ONE BILLION FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS to finally get ONE WS this decade.
1.5 BILLION dollars.
'bout time.
Congrats Yankees.
I'm just glad baseball season is over with. Now i'm on to more important stuff like the stretch run of college football and the NFL. And High School playoffs just started in PA.
ya im glad baseball is over as well

Bull$hit. They've spent 1.5 BILLION over the last decade to buy the best players in baseball. The smaller market teams can't come up with that kind of cash and it causes an unbalanced playing field.
Put them under a common salary cap and they're done winning championships.

You are right, the New York Yankees did get two in a decade, but only this century, since the twenty first century started January 1, 2001. The did win the last World Series in the twentieth century before last night's World Series clinching victory.

MT15 stuck his head in the sand after the Phillies won game 1. He trashed Girardi. No smack. He knew the Yanks could choke.
He routinely steps in piles of poo.
Cards haven't won a WS since 2006 so they are irrevelant.
