Ask UAB about the Helton they have

Then ask any Houston fans about where our program went with Helton in the 90s

It was more like the team, being young guys, had too hard of a time getting excited about a game in which the opposition's first game was a home loss to Buffalo. Combine that with UTEP looking at Houston like they were the freaking defending national champions.

So to recap, incredibly lazy Houston + worked-up UTEP = UTEP win.

Keep telling yourselves that you're the better team. I'd probably be latching onto that victory as much as possible myself if I were in your shoes. After all, you just lost to UAB, and will be left with another horrible season once again. Congrats.

UTEP was the better team that night. Our Coogs have no one to blame but themselves, either.

However, if there was ever a loss to a team that we SHOULD have beaten that still hurts the worst after all these years, it was when our Phi Slama Jama lost to North freakin' Carolina State.

I don't think that wound will ever heal.

UTEP should have and DID act like you were the defending national champs. Maybe Houston should have acted like you were too. If your team doesn't get excited about playing WHO EVER is NEXT on the schedule then your coach did a piss poor job of motivating and focusing your teams' attention.

So to recap, BS rationale from a Houston fan for his teams' looking past UTEP + UTEP taking care of bidness at home = same result.

On the night in question, UTEP WAS the BETTER TEAM. And that's all that matters. Face facts Brain, yall Coogd it that night.
