Could any of them redshirt? It would be good if we could begin redshirting some good freshmen. It would certainly solidify our program so that we don't have those years where we lose all of our players.

And the other questions is, will be looking to sign anyone else in this or in the spring signing period? Every recruiting year it gets very interesting.04-cheers
Not with the amount of jucos we have in the system right now.
I will be very surprised if Leeper does not redshirt? Why wouldn't you do so? He obviously has potential, or they would not have signed him, but his numbers were very underwhelming, to say the least.

I think Gus will be the type player that Jake Yancey was. It took Jake a year or two to mature physically and get stronger. He came in at around 185 pounds and by his junior season was around 245. He was never a big scorer, but was a solid inside player for us. We might be able to afford to redshirt Gus next year, but that will depend on our situation, as well as consent by the player and his family. We all know that the one thing you can't coach is 6'10". And Gus has that. I like his chances of being a good player. He's obviously very bright and can learn the mental aspects of our system.04-cheers
I would suspect that none of them will play any kind of role next season. Maybe Sonnier in spots. But I think all three are projects. Next year would be a good year to have them, too, since we have so many people coming back.
