You know, you would think that poking someone's eye out would warrant more than a half game suspension.
Yes, that conference is a big joke, starting with the commissioner's office.
I have no idea, but I am guessing he is talking about the SEC and assumes that everyone on the board follows the SEC as well.
I saw a really bad football movie once where there was an eyeball on the field after a tackle. Is that the reference?
It's the SEC. Brandon Spikes of Florida stuck his hand in a Georgia player's facemask.
Well it's Vandy they're playing after all this week so what'd you expect

Yeah it was a terrible call on the sec's part. if that had been a player from vandy or arkansas how long would he have been suspended for? Better yet had that been any cusa player on ANY team how long would they have been suspended for???
Who cares. No one I cheer for is in the SEC so they can make all the horrible calls they wish. I wish more UAB fans felt this way.

He was just making conversation, dude. No need to be a douche about it. To others, there might actually be sports outside of UAB.
So was there an eyeball flying around or not?
No. The story isn't deserving of all the press it's getting. The Georgia player got up and played the next down. Stuff like this happens all the time in football.

If he wants to make conversation like that, it's fine. However, there needs to be something in the title such as NBR or SEC, or it needs to be posted in the Bar and Grille. When I saw such an embarassing conference, for some reason, I thought it was about C-USA football.
So did I. And then it pissed me off that it was assumed that everyone would know what he was talking about like it was our home conference or something.
Well, I don't think he had bad intent. Boy, you have to walk on eggshells around here....
Half the Vandy game for that? That penalty is positively Gene Stallings-esque.
I can go ahead and comment now that it's in the Bar & Grille, right?
If the SEC office wanted to make a real "case in point", they should INSIST that Spikes play the full game next week--BLINDFOLDED. He could be positioned by teammates before each play (sort of like they do in blind-golf) and then be on his own. THAT would make a real impression on the coaches, team and Spikes.
Wassn't there an old time NFL player that had a hanging eyeball but tried to play on anyway?
