I guess its good for John Wall that he didn't go to Memphis, after all.
Nice reporting.
He has to pay the $ to whom?
And is a precedent set to allow this same to happen with same penalty in the future?
NCAA sucks.
too bad this soft NCAA wasn't around in 1987--Marvin Alexander and Sylvester Gray might have had different lives
I didn't expect the NCAA to punish one of it's precious bcs schools
Thank God. Precious Kentucky doesn't have to suffer. Thank you NCAA. You did your job. Yay!

NCAA
Wasn't Derrick Rose cleared to play also? Just sayin... Just because the NCAA says "he's good" doesn't exactly mean he's good to go, as we all know.

You are absolutely correct about that fact. The only real difference I see between the two cases is that John Wall will sit out two games because of his travel coach being and agent that he will have to repay any of the expenses of his former AAU coach to be eligible in the end. I wish our case with Derrick Rose could have been resolved so easily like it was for the Universtiy of Kentucky Wildcats.
The NCAA decision process somehow speeds up when a traditional BCS power is involved.
