What a great pitching performance last night by former American League Cy Young winner Cliff Lee of the Philadelphia Phillies. He made the New York Yankees offense look bad tonight, which is a feat in itself. He pitched per the Elias Sports Bureau on ESPN's Mike and Mike for fifty-four miniutes, while Yankees American League Cy Young pitcher CC Sabithia was on the mound for 1:34 minutes last night. I do not know how the rest of the series will go, but congratulations to Phillies for last night performance. Chase Utley also hit two home runs last niight.
If Pedro can deliver a performance half as good as Lee did, we go up 2-0 tonight.

AJ Burnett, starting pitcher for the New York Yankees, looks good so far as I can tell. He got first pitch strikes on each batter and got a one two three inning to start the game.
Tonite, AJB earned every one of the $16 million dollars the Yanks are paying him this year. The umps blown call killed a rally by the Yankees in the 8th (Ryan H throwing to 2nd let you know he didnt catch the liner from Damon) that could have broken this one open.

How about a combined 0-8 from Howard and ARod w/ 7 K's???

and.......

the Yankees are STILL Pedro's daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A.J. Burnett pithced a good game tonight for the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the Worlds Series tonight. Ryan Howard is a strikeout king, so that is expected. A-Rod is zero for the seres, with a lot of striketouts. He is not producing at all in the series so far.

This series is so far from over, now iwith the split at Yankee Stadium it is a best of five series to decide this year's World Series. I do not know who it favors at this point.
Burnett and Pedro were both fantastic last night. MT15, you may be right about the blown call. Howard should've sold the play a little better, but the replays were inconclusive and that's what we have to go on. The umps made up for it on Utley's double play in the 8th.

Game 3 should be a lot of fun...now if I could only find some tickets.

How much are they selling tickets on Stubhub, Ebay for World Series Tickets for game three for the New York Yankees versus the Philadelphia Phillies? Is it over five hundred dollars per tickets for game 3 and four?

You can get a standing room ticket for game 3 or 4 for about $400. The cheapest seat I've seen for those two games has been around $750.

Game 5 is a different story: nothing less than 1G right now.

That is a lot of money, even for a standing room ticket. I know, who knows how long will it be before the Philadelphia Phillies will make it to the World Series again, even if it is the second World Series they are here in a row.
Rain rain go away!!!!!
The offense wakes up! 2-1 Yankees w/ the big fella on the mound tomorrow. Go get 'em Yanks!

This was the best game of the series so far in my opinion. Andy Petite pitched a good game and you middle relief did enough to help the New York Yankees to win the game last night. This is still a six or seven game series until one of the team get a stranglehold.
I think the Yankees are in good shape. I saw on MLB network that the team that wins game 3 of a 1-1 series usually wins the series. NY has to go 2-2 the rest of the way and will have CC pitch 2 of the 4 games. Blanton is something like 1-5 w/ a 7 or 8 ERA in his career vs NYY. Anything can happen but the pitching matchup is in NY's favor tonite (PHIL's tomorrow w/ Lee vs AJ on short rest). If NY wins tonite to go up 3-1, then they only have to win 1 of 2 at home. They dont lose 2 in a row at home very often. The key is getting back to NY up 3-2 instead of down 3-2.
Brad Lidge is awesome!!!!!!

Not funny, but Alex Rodriguez has been clutch with his hits, despite all the outs he has recorded so far in this series.
I've noticed MemTig15 has stopped short of declaring his Janks a Series winner, even up 3-1.
He talked a lot of smack before the playoffs only to clam up when the Phillies won game 1.
The camera HR was BS and MLB lied to cover it up. Yanks can't win a Series off roids, so they have to find another way.

thanks for getting my morning started w/ a good laugh. Camera HR BS? hahahahaha!! Yeah, it shouldnt be a HR when you hit it over the fence off of an object that knocks it back onto the playing field. The Phillies dont have a pitcher other than Lee who can beat the Yankees. They sure as hell dont have 2 in a row that can do it at Yankee Stadium. I didnt do much "clamming up" when they beat Philly 3 straight games.

How is your team faring the playoffs or did they even make it??

The Yankees may be Pedro's daddy, but Cliff Lee and Chase Utley are fast becoming the Yankees' two dads.

Game Six should be a lot of fun.

This has been a good World Series so far, the best one I haVE watched on television since the 2001 World Series with the Arizona Diamondbacks versus the New York Yankees.
