It is very nice of the president to declare H1N1 as an national emergency/whatever he called it, & then mention that there isn't enough vaccines to go around.
There's nothing like creating unneeded panic in the country.
I think to legally use certain resources of the government an emergency declaration has to be issued.
Emergency? It's the flu people, not ebola or the plague.

I agree that the flu thing is getting out of hand, but for certain government agencies to get involved with distributing the vaccine to doctors, etc. and for certain funds to be released, an emergency declaration has to be signed.

Your reaction reminds me of an old coffee mug I had that said: "A RECESSION is when you lose your job, a DEPRESSION is when I lose mine" If one of your kids was one who died, it would look a lot like an emergency to you.
