This dude is a piece of work. But I guess when you have dominated a team like he has UAB you don't really have to pay compliments to them.
Yeah, I know he said some of the right things after the game but the post game interview he made it seem like the refs just let UAB get away with murder.
Calipari while a good coach and a great recruiter really should just sometimes keep his mouth shut.

I think some Blazers have SEVERY bruises on their arms. Hee needs to back up. Memphis got away with murder at times but it was in their house so so be it. If that's the best they got they are not the #3 team in the nation but I am glad they are ranked where they are for C-USA.
We definitely needs Memphis to continue doing what they are doing until they lose on March 2nd.
But this conference better keep an eye on Houston. I really believe if they are hitting on all cylinders they will be a handfull for the Tigers at the FEDEX Forum.
I think you will see C-USA turn into the big 4 for now with the obvious 2 plus Houston and UTEP. The others will be playing catch up for a while.
The others will be scrambling for NIT bids until they get their programs up.

Get over the refs. They either decided or were instructed to swallow their whistles after 2 different C-USA games had 45 fouls whistled last weekend.
At least they were consistent in their no calls on fouls. They were letting us get away with physical play on the boards & they were letting you guys get away with hand-checking & slapping.
UAB was the best team I have seen.
How Memphis managed to pull off the upset is the miracle.
The refs were the main reason.
Not the 20 rebound margin.
Or Darius Washington's spectacular effort.
Or McDonald's showing off to the home crowd in an effort to be a hero.

Both teams made plays.
If birmingham made more shots or got more boards they may have won.
If Memphis made more shots or got more boards they may have won by 20 instead of 7.
Next game....
If birmingham plays better than Memphis...they win.
If Memphis plays better, they win.
Something had us rattled. We had our "C" game on the court, and you guys couldn't put us away...UAB will play better @ Bartow...Memphis will be the ones rattled next time...

No sore winner here. We're used to it. When you're ranked in the top 10 in the country, you know you're going to have a bullseye on your back every game you play. Our guys are not afraid to play any team in the country including UAB.
Memphis fans didn't start this thread remember? And Memphis mods aren't threatening to ban UAB fans over on our board so you can stick that talk.
UAB has a very good team. They play hard and should be a top 25 team. It's just too bad they don't have top 25 fans. UAB does have some very good fans and some have been very gracious on our board. Good luck the rest of the basketball season. And yes, we will see you March 2nd, no problem there.

Actually we need the Tigers to lose one game between now and March 2. That way the game will be for the regular season championship. I don't won't to go into the tournament tied with them with one loss apiece.
On the other hand, I would just as well see them lose the rest of their games. I have never subscribed to the we need Memphis to do well for us to do well. We got all the way to 40 in the RPI without Memphis. Playing them did not help our RPI that much. We don't need them to win for us to do well.
Their fans on this board has shown everyone what I have been trying to say for some time. Last night they were pissed because we didn't come to their board so they could rub it in our faces, so they come over here.
There are a few classy fans of their I like - tigerjeb, Hornlaketiger, TripleT, even SCConway has grown on me, to name a few. Most of the rest are Louisville wannabees, who think that to be like Louisville, you have to act like louisville fans - arrogant SoBs.
