Ten years ago, this information may have been legitimately qualified as useless to a REAL Tiger fan like you. Why? Because a highly touted Memphis kid from your HS alma mater wouldn't have given a fleeting thought of gracing the gates of Floyd Stadium on the campus of Div. 1-AA MTSU for an official visit. Add to that he's the son of a former Tiger football player. Maybe MTSU gets him, maybe they don't. But it's forward progress.
31-14 and two in row in the modern era. A REAL Tiger fan would or should be concerned and interested in finding out why. Hopefully, we can debate/discuss this without your having to resort to the same vulgar acronyms that you used in another messageboard.

Maybe in the won-loss column and the competency of coaching staff for the past few years but the potential is still there for the Memphis Tigers to do great things in football with the right leadership in place from the President's office on down.

I think it sucks that he visited.. i think it says alot about the problems we have on the football field. Its a fact that if football was done right here more of these kids would want to play here. We see on the bball court how many want to stay home for a program that does things right it could be the same on the football field...

Unfortunately for Memphis, this prospect's father has seen first-hand and lived through the very concerns you have mentioned. Even worse, without even saying a word, Rod is in a position that could influence the perceptions and decisions of other prospects and their respective coaches just by where his players decide to attend college.

Leave em alone...It's the only 'defense' some of them have left. They're upset because TW has been on cruise control since 2004/2005...it's a bitter pill to swallow for some.
It will be a sad day when a Memphis legacy ends up @ MTSU.
I've never minded losing folks to UTK, OM, et al....but losing recruits to Sun Belt programs drives me crazy
