Full Version: DeLay and the money funnel

Tommy Stevenson down in Tuscaloosa did a nice piece about how Tom DeLay launders money. In this case, he set up a division of his ARMPAC here in Alabama and ran better than $750,000 through it. $16,000 actually stayed in Alabama, and the rest went mostly to finance his campaign to restructure the voting districts in Texas to put more Republicans in office.

If you want a good example of why it should be illegal for a PAC to donate to PACs, here it is. Moneylaundering, same as the mob does it, hiding the sources and moving the cash around.

Think of each of the hundreds of Political Action Committees set up in PAC-friendly Alabama over the years as barrels of varying sizes.

Then think of the money from individuals, businesses, corporations and even other PACs as water poured into those barrels.

Finally, think of the money in those PACs being dispersed by dippers to candidates, political organizations and even other PACs.

The instruction,
they're all crooked as question marks. gosh i wish how we could implement term limits on these people.

You can start by calling your local congressman who ran on the platform of term limits in 1992 and has abandoned that position since he hs been in office for 14 years.
we have term limits. its called elections. the public gets the representation it deserves.
