Tommy Stevenson down in Tuscaloosa did a nice piece about how Tom DeLay launders money. In this case, he set up a division of his ARMPAC here in Alabama and ran better than $750,000 through it. $16,000 actually stayed in Alabama, and the rest went mostly to finance his campaign to restructure the voting districts in Texas to put more Republicans in office.
If you want a good example of why it should be illegal for a PAC to donate to PACs, here it is. Moneylaundering, same as the mob does it, hiding the sources and moving the cash around.
