So this past weekend while tailgating I had someone talk me into joining the site since I know a lot about the program and could probably hold my own against some people on here like TheOtherGregChilders? I think is what they told me. I don't know this guy from Adam but from what I heard he is a tiger fan that loves to bash people because he thinks he knows more than anyone else. Well, I look forward to the challenge. Who knows we may end up agreeing on some things but I didn't hear too many positive things about him. I love to argue.....especially about things I'm familiar with. I've been a life long tiger fan, had many family and friends who played there and love to sit and debate on what needs to be happening with the program. Consider this a call-out to anyone who doesn't want the best for the program. Let the debates begin.

I sure do and there are several reasons why. 1.) Tommy has lost the faith of many alumni, including Keith Butler who I ran into three weeks ago when he was in town watching his son coach at ECS. Keith seemed to be down on the way the program has turned under Tommy and he's not the only one, just an example of someone prominent. 2.) Tommy doesn't recruit as he should. I told everyone two years ago when he started going JUCO that it was the wrong move. I coached at Ridgeway and even coached X-Man's son Xavier while I was there. All they had to do was offer the kid and he would have come. You know what their excuse was.....he wasn't fast enough. They didn't even offer the best rb in the city and he ended up going to Texas Tech. There are many more examples and once again that is just one that sticks out. 3.) He hasn't made the best decisions both on and off the field with how he handles situations. The bottom line is I don't think he's the man for the job and didn't think he was when he was hired. Chuck Stobart looks mroe and more relevant as the games go by. He managed to win 6 games each year when we were playing teams like Tenn, Miss St, Ark and Ole Miss every year. I didn't care all that much for Chuck, I cared less for Rip after he let go of Butler and Wayne Wheedon and i care even less for Tommy. The program needs new blood.

There are plenty of people that are "connected" on this board, as well as pleny of people that have above average football IQs... not that many of us honestly go out looking for a fight.
I LOVE to "discuss" Tiger football. My friends and I do it all the freakin' time. But, there is a shortage of facts and a whole lot of opinions. Like the Crawford son that went to Texas Tech in 2007 was Aaron, but that was the year we only signed one TB and that was Curtis Steele. I seem to remember him having a pretty good game lately. So far, Aaron has 1 rush for -1 yards.

I wrote Xavier by accident casue I had just written X-Man. My bad I meant Aaron. We had 6 kids sign D1 scholarships that year, and two of them had offers from Memphis. Josh Jasper is now kicking at LSU, Dasmine Cathey actually came to memphis. Lagrone Shields has been starting at Colorado and so on and so on. Steele is great and I realize that, but Aaron has been hurt a lot down at Tech. He has also played behind great rb's down there as well. Hindsight is always 20/20 but at the time he was a great fit and Memphis didn't even give him a shot. At the very least he would be a better back-up than what we have now. West has failed to capitalize on recruits in the city is all I'm trying to say. Antone who thinks otherwise is a plain fool.

Besides, who said anything about nights? Are you trying to say that because I registered 6 months ago that I just sit at home all the time on my computer and post on here? Splendid logic, right there. What are you doing with yourself at night that you are using as the evidence that your life isn't depressing? Are you out partying and drinking the night away? That's really cool. I sure hope the mods ban you soon. It's one thing to offer your opinions and insights (and defend them if need be), but it's another thing altogether to intentionally instigate fights with people for no good reason.

Look man I've been a tiger fan all my life so please don't think otherwise. I just like to let people know when they are wrong. People bash the program and have suggestions, some of which are great and way better than anything I may offer. But, I know this program more than a lot of people and I would LOVE to put someone who isn't about the sucess of the program in their place. That's why I'm here, nothing more and nothing less. Oh by the way, what doo doo did I make up?

I made your point how, exactly? You came on here talking crap. I (along with nearly everyone else) took umbrage with your approach and your reasoning behind that approach. Just about all my post on this board are tongue and cheek at best. Do 100 times more reading than posting. Most of the posters here are true tiger fans. Many have different opinions on what should be done to improve the program. It has become some what of a loosely knit family. Most first time posters are welcome with open arms with several congratulatory responses to there first post. I see that is not in your future. Enjoy your time here, I hope it is long enough to learn how to play well with others. A couple of friendly suggestions to peruse at your leisure: 1) Get over yourself 2) If you have to tell people you know important people when you first meet them you are over compensating for something.

Hey hopefully sometime I'll come across you at a Memphis game and the person who I have in my mind will be completely shattered and I will know who you truly are and it will end up that I was sorely mistaken....and then my faith in mankind might be restored. Until then, I am going to have trouble sleeping tonight because I have a mental image of who you are and it is unbelievably close to Todd Packer from "The Office". I hope I am wrong more so for me than for you because I want to be able to trust my fellow man again.
