Settle down 308. TOGC is correct about most of the stuff he posts (with the exception of the Political Forum). I don't get the feeling that he thinks he knows everything about the program either, only that it's stagnant and our coach is mediocre.

I can't say a lot of bad things about Covington. I played aginst you guys and knew a lot of the players and coaches from there. I even had family play there so don't take it personal.

I think he said Ridgeway. The important question to ask is when he played. That would maintain his relevance.

Spring of your sophomore year ('04) you came down to Collierville and played us. They tried me out at nose guard and I screwed my heel up in that practice, it was because of ya'll that I got moved back to Defensive End (which I was ever so thankful for).

OK, dawg, here's the deal. It's great that you're a Tiger fan and want to get involved with this board. HOWEVER, you coming on here saying that "you're going to let people know when their wrong" is just humorous. I sure do and there are several reasons why. 1.) Tommy has lost the faith of many alumni, including Keith Butler who I ran into three weeks ago when he was in town watching his son coach at ECS. Keith seemed to be down on the way the program has turned under Tommy and he's not the only one, just an example of someone prominent. 2.) Tommy doesn't recruit as he should. I told everyone two years ago when he started going JUCO that it was the wrong move. I coached at Ridgeway and even coached X-Man's son Xavier while I was there. All they had to do was offer the kid and he would have come. You know what their excuse was.....he wasn't fast enough. They didn't even offer the best rb in the city and he ended up going to Texas Tech. There are many more examples and once again that is just one that sticks out. 3.) He hasn't made the best decisions both on and off the field with how he handles situations. The bottom line is I don't think he's the man for the job and didn't think he was when he was hired. Chuck Stobart looks mroe and more relevant as the games go by. He managed to win 6 games each year when we were playing teams like Tenn, Miss St, Ark and Ole Miss every year. I didn't care all that much for Chuck, I cared less for Rip after he let go of Butler and Wayne Wheedon and i care even less for Tommy. The program needs new blood.

Anyway, since you know a lot, I wish you would tell me WHY we don't recruit Memphis kids. Everyone notices it, but no one says WHY.

Sorry alterego2, I never really saw this thread on the main board. I find it funny this dude calls out TOGC and pretty much echos TOGC's stance and opinions. It makes this whole thread pretty foolish actually. Other than that, it just seems like a kid at play. Nothing of substance over here but another person spewing what they "supposedly" knows which I haven't seen anything that most of us didn't already know. Besides that, hack away at each other.
