Duke made bass look good with 2 80 yard touchdowns after both were 2 yard passes which padded his stats. Yeah, his completion % is great till he throws it downfield. All bass can do is run which takes carry attempts away from your running backs. All bass can do is ensure that defenses will pack the middle and dare us to throw it deep.

I don't get you. You hate tommy west. If anything, this proves tw made the wrong decision 3 weeks ago, but apparently you must have like it with bass as qb.

We would have won last week if hudgens had started.

I love the fact that Will has fire in his belly. I love that he came back for his sixth year.

But I've seen him play several times in his career and tonight still didn't convince me. Defensively, UTEP came into the game dead last in C-USA in total defense allowing 494.4 yards per game. The Tigers had 485.

Of those 494.4 yards per game, UTEP averaged giving up 289.6 passing yards per game. Tonight, Will had 215.

UTEP gave up 204.8 yards rushing per game. Tonight, Steele had 240.

Tonight's game belonged to Steele not Hudgens.

Next week, we play at Southern Mississippi. They have the #1 pass defense in C-USA allowing only 190.8 yards per game. No matter who we put out on the field next week, the Tigers will probably struggle at QB.

If Bass is healthy, I'd start him at QB. With his mobility, he'll give us more weapons in the backfield.

Good grief Childers, Don't be a POS every nite of your life . Enjoy the win and STFU. You've posted this same drivel in at least 3-4 other threads. dayum...we get it. You don't like Will. Who gives a crap. The Tigers won and put a crimp in your "Tommy farewell tour bashfest". Just freakin" STFU for one damn night.

This is what Derby calls taking it from TOGC? It seems to me that mods should not be closing threads and banning people when they themselves are responding in kind. I'm not defending TOGC but I am questioning some of the recent responses and actions taken by our moderators.

Fortunately I missed most of it. Love the ignore button.
when you make an account, you agree to live by the terms laid out by the mods and admins...

the people who run this board worked HARD for YEARS to make this thing what it is today.

anyone remember the old cusa board with the annoying Charlotte Niner fans?

live with it, or leave...may sound mean, might sound "unfair", but it's the only way to keep this thing running...

Agree. Life isn't fair, and this is a free board. Get over one poster getting kicked off of a free board because people who spend their time and own money to run it for us decided they didn't want him on it.

And if you want to talk about this anymore PM the mods and put your thread in the correct forum.

True, but what are the rules? There is no clear definition anymore. It is ok for some to use bad language and it is not for others. As a online community we need well defined rules that each of us must adhere to. Instead of locking the topic or burying it, it is an issue that should be discussed.
What does it say about you when you are banned from a free website?

you agreed to the rules when you signed up...here's a refresh course:

General Rules

- If you are fan visiting other areas of NCAAbbs... objective/factual/discussion based posts that are on topic are always welcome. However, be careful when you start smack talking etc. It is to be expected that mods will have visiting fans on a shorter leash when it comes to visiting fans causing trouble.
- In general, the content rating for NCAAbbs is at or very close to PG-13. So, don't blame NCAAbbs if you let your young one on the boards and they pick up a special new word at the age of 10.
- Bypassing the profanity filter, though a light offense, is unacceptable. This means, specifically, that you modified a word filtered so it would be filtered no longer. To keep it simple -- if it's filtered, leave it filtered. If it isn't filtered, you're in the clear.
- Any personal attack on other posters, school administration, and/or student athletes is subject to immediate removal without notice at the discretion of mods and admins.
- Babe Of The Day (BOTD) posts cannot contain any nudity. This includes but is not limited to: pubic hair, genitals, nipples, or mesh/"see-through" clothing that shows any of the preceeding.
- All tickets advertised MUST BE AT FACE VALUE OR LESS. SCALPING IS UNACCEPTABLE.
- You remain responsible for the content of your posts. NCAAbbs is not liable for illegal or otherwise illicit material in your posts. You agree to hold NCAAbbs unaccountable for all posts you make.
- Questions about edited or deleted posts should be voiced in private to the mod/admin that did it. If you don't know who... e-mail support(at)ncaabbs(dot)com
- Using these boards is a privilege, not a right. All NCAAbbs admins reserve the right to ban/disable your account for any period of time without notice, advanced warning, or reason.

- In general, if you are causing people to leave the community because of your actions, you will be banned... even if you're so good at walking the line you have technically broken no rules. NCAAbbs will not let you ruin everybody else's experience and get away with it just b/c you're good at walking the line.

actually it isnt. communism, like many, economic systems, was devised as a possible means to improve the quality of life for more people. it was later (during lenin's reign[word choice intentional]) that communism came to mean tyranny just like they had under the tsars' reigns.

tyranny in any of its forms should, no must be challenged. even on a free chat board. most of the mods do a very good job. some mods abuse their position with not only their personal agenda when banning posters, but also by baiting those posters first (are you reading HLT).

as for pming the mods to appeal a ban or ask for a hearing on the propriety of a mod, there is no system in place at present. this seems like an improvement that could be made as our board evolves and becomes more sophisticated. if i am banned by HLT or any other mod for these statements i am sol.

I would remind everyone that the MT.org AUP states:

8) If you have a problem with the way a situation is handled (i.e. deleted posts, moderation disagreements), please take it to PM’s and not on the regular forums. If you feel it needs to be public, take it to the smack forum and send a PM to a moderator for discussion.

This forum is not the place for this discussion. Everyone has had a chance to comment, the situation has been handled by the mods and the mods are willing to discuss these issues with anyone privately. Let's let this die and get back to the purpose of this board.

My one thing here...

Regardless of all the drama...

It WAS wrong of kpig to "publically" (not in a PM as has been urged for the same poster to use) tell the poster to STFU and to call the poster a POS. An admission of that would in no way diminish the other mods' points about the poster and would go some way towards calming things.

Regardless of all the drama...

It WAS wrong of kpig to "publically" (not in a PM as has been urged for the same poster to use) tell the poster to STFU and to call the poster a POS. An admission of that would in no way diminish the other mods' points about the poster and would go some way towards calming things.

it does smack of hypocrisy...regardless of TOGC's history.

if i called Mimi a "POS" and told him to "STFU"...would i be banned as well?

even if Mimi deserved it?
Thank You mimi

choice is a good thing, as can be change. personally i like this board and i like the easy access to other cusa and other conference team boards. i just want to reiterate that a formal public process for mod behavior and poster discipline is in order. without it there is the possibility of petty tyranny and abuse. this is what i have been saying and i know that calling for this in the public board is a violation of protocol. i tried handling it privately with no success, even worse cursory dismissal. i hope this public airing will have a positive outcome. i would not like to banned again without recourse.

sure you can...email GTS, the board Admin...he can override any banning...but should you find yourself banned...it's not for "no-reason"...don't forget...you AGREED to the rules before you joined...if you don't like it...leave.

it is NOT the job of any mod to make everyone happy...

once again i am forced to address your inaccuracies. i have never written i was banned for no reason, i have writte i was banned for an arbitrary reason by a mod who abused his position. this same mod (HLT) had baited me without success. when i responded to a poster who was offended because he believed i was addressing him when i defined some people: so called fans. this poster then addressed asterisks (or maybe censored language) toward me. when i responded with asterisks (literally asterisks) i was banned. when banned i could not access the board to appeal. a week later when i was reinstated a mod told me privately there was no appeal process anyway.

thank you for the information about GTS.

you are the only person i have read who has written anything about mods being responsible, " to make everyone happy". please, when you are addressing another poster, limit your remarks to what that person said, or address questions to that poster. if you have statements to make, compose them in a less ambiguous manner so that those of us who try to understand what you write will know these are your thoughts and not those of the person you are addressing.

i dont mind defending my position on anything, but i weary of having to defend myself for statements i never made. perhaps the mods should move this thread to the smack room. it has degenerated into something that does not belong here.

so in your rambling diatribe you really only say a few things...

1) waaaaa, HLT banned me for some type of jackassery...what? i don't really want to know. i've met HLT a few times, seems like a great guy.

2) i must have quoted the wrong post based on your rambling. i haven't the energy, nor the inclination to confirm or deny. somewhere, baby Jesus wept.

but you do however prove why questions like this are best meant for PM's

Dude, I have been on this site and every predecessor to it (I think we are up to 7) for close to a decade if not more. It is larger now than it has ever been, and just keeps getting larger. I read and contribute to more than one (believe it or not GASP!).

True, but what are the rules? There is no clear definition anymore. It is ok for some to use bad language and it is not for others. As a online community we need well defined rules that each of us must adhere to. Instead of locking the topic or burying it, it is an issue that should be discussed.

you agreed to the rules when you signed up...here's a refresh course:

This forum is not the place for this discussion. Everyone has had a chance to comment, the situation has been handled by the mods and the mods are willing to discuss these issues with anyone privately. Let's let this die and get back to the purpose of this board.

Quoted by one of the two people who are the reason I don't post here anymore. He and JMS have no business being a mod or admin because they has no clue about how to be diplomatic or reasonable. Each has his own personal agenda and they are ruining the board for more people than just me. I miss some of the people on this board, but because of two certain mods I can't stand posting here anymore. No one can find a more fair Admins than Kirk aka kpigout and Steven but until they bring those two renegades under control this board isn't fun to post on anymore.
