Would you do it?

While I think this is pointless and dwelling on the past that should be let go, I will say no.

Fisher's offenses at FSU have been inconsistent at best and often just bad (see JSU game for example). Plus his offenses were not that impressive at LSU, they just had tons of talent. His offenses have never struck me as innovative, as opposed to the unique offenses of Malzahn, Paul Johnson, Urban Meyer, June Jones, and so forth.

Callaway's offenses at UGA were good, if not spectacular and I imagine Callaway has probably coached more NFL players either directly (oline) or indirectly (as O-coordinator) than Fisher.

Plus Callaway is a Blazer now, Fisher is not, end of story.
AD, would you take the Bear or Saban?
CALLOWAY IS DOING OK but Fisher will have bring instead recognition and younger blood to UAB
Fisher will have bring more donation , more energy maybe not as much discipline but kids dont have very much discipline anymore and we (the old guys) need to lean how to deal with it
No way with fISHER THAT UAB will have only 8 wins in 3 year so far .
Fisher will have DEAL better with WB players .
AT florida state his hand are tight and we cannot judge him.
No way UAB defense will be that bad under Fisher .
Calloway bring us a 2 and four win season so far which is below UAB standard OF 5 WINS
Calloway despite winning to Southern Miss and bring some excitement to the program ..already mess up the season
This year already UAB become non existant in this state after the lost to SMU and troy
The guy is not very good coach
Tell me why he didn't go for 2 after the pick 6 of atwater beside not know what is going on
tell me why we still have the same coaching staffs for the last 3 years
TELL ME why we never go on 4 and one
He is my coach but fisher was a far better candidate and he still a better candidate

Well, Bear was opposed to UAB having athletics and Saban was humiliated by us...
AD why does it matter to you my friend?

in a heartbeat
Fisher. No question.
Nope. I don't think Fisher would have been interested in doing the hard work that Callaway has done to rebuild the foundation of UAB football. He would have filled in the cracks and temporarily improved the "curb appeal" of the program. Anybody who attended football practices the last year that Watson was here knows that if someone didn't clean house our program was headed for disaster. And, no, I don't think Fisher would have won more games in his first two years. We may have retained and attracted more talent because of his name recognition, but talent hasn't always been the problem for UAB football...most of the time it's been discipline and hard work (in the gym and the classroom). Hence the reason the same core players that went to the Hawaii Bowl came back to a 5-win season the next year and a 3-win season the next.

Besides, to get Fisher Carol Garrison would have had to fight a battle that would have cost us dearly...possibly including the program being intentionally choked to death by certain influential BOT members. We are, overall, in a much better situation today because things worked out the way they did a few years ago.

To answer your question as stated: No I wouldn't make that trade right now. Three years ago I would have said Fisher hands down. But now, this is Callaway's job and he deserves it. Callaway has spent a lot of time building his program his way, and it would be foolish to start rebuilding again.

I always thought Fisher would be a rent-a-coach, but I was okay with that then because I thought it would lead to national recognition, improved recruiting, winning seasons, etc. I thought he would stay 3-4 years as a proving ground before taking over a BCS program with a bigger name. If he were here now, he'd be Todd Graham at Rice.

1. NO we got who we got so why dewell on it

2. Who cares? We got who we got so why dewell on it

3. As far as saying what Fisher would've done if he were here.....WE DON"T KNOW WHAT WOULD"VE HAPPENED. Yeah he could've done better, or he could've done worse. We have Calloway now and thats who I'm behind until he starts to suck.
Yes in a perfect world.

No because we would no longer have FBS football. They would just shoot the dog instead of kicking it. Just my opinion that is shared by others that are much closer to the inner workings than I.

Seriously, does all this BS need to be rehashed? What’s done is done and the best thing Blazer fans can do is move forward.
Remember how jazzed up they were when they thought they had Richy Rod?

Cute. Very cute...
I refuse to answer posed by Alabama trolls who are trying to stir up trouble on our board. Those who are answering the question feed some type of silly agenda Alphadog has.
Would you trade the UAT OC for Jimbo Fisher?
UAT new if they hired S@b@n ,his first choice for OC would be Fisher, so the BOT rejects
UAB's offer to hire Fisher.

Absolutely yes.
If AlphaDog's wife blocked his view of the TV during an Alabama football game, would he shoot her?
How many times did she run into a door during the Utah game?

No because he probably wouldn't want to go to jail for animal cruelty like Vick did.
The real question would FSU still name Fisher the coach in waiting. As long as FSU has Andrews as DC they will compete. He will leave when Bowden leaves. I would say today Tubberville has just as good of a chance at being the FSU head coach as Fisher.
I'd trade both for blazersax.....
hell ya no question. ******** wouldnt have winning seasons at the high school level
