Ex-Hoover high wide out is going pro. To bad he left the state to play college ball.

I'm glad that he went out of state. He would've have gotten as much attention in state. No in-state school or SEC school has as much offense as the UF teams that he's played on.

Auburn has had an higher rated offense than Florida in each year Chad has been at UF. Had he gone to Auburn, he would have enjoyed a 13-0 season, too.

Is Aubie known for its offense, better yet did anyone outside of the tri-states know aubie existed before there undefeated season?

It's all about exposure and at UF he got it. It didn't hurt that he had Chris Leak throwing to him, either.
I live in Florida, Stunner; he's not even that well known at UF.

He didn't get that much exposure, and a lot of scouts think he underachieved with the Gators.

And no one knew about Auburn? You can't be serious. Auburn is one of the top 20 teams in college football history for all-time wins. Florida, in case you are wondering, is not. Nor does Florida have as many SEC titles as Auburn.

And Leak is a mediocre QB who nearly got benched this year. If Florida had another experienced QB, they would have done so. Urban Meyer can't stand Leak's game, but Josh Portis was not ready to play (and has sinced announced he will transfer). In fact, there's a chance Leak will be sitting as a senior while he watches Tim Tebow take his job.

If Jackson is so bad, why is it that everytime I saw UF highlights he's on them? Leak is a good qb and I could care less what everyone thinks. Both kids are awesome. When you think of UF what comes to mind besides Spurrier? It's the Fun and Gun Offense. True, Aubie has a good offense, but on a national level, without looking at stats, who would be mentioned 1st?
Umm, Stunner? Spurrier is not at UF anymore, nor is the Fun 'n Gun. Chad had solid stats this season, but not to the point that he was at the top of anyone's list. 12 games, 88 receptions, 900 yards, 10.2 average, 9 TDs, long of 80, 75 ypg. Solid but not stellar.

In the SEC standings, Chad is #1 in receptions, #2 in overall yards, #34 in average, and tied for 2 in TD's. That's better than I realized actually...

Nationally, 6th in receptions, 36th in yards, way down the list in average (cutoff on ESPN was #117, who was at 14.3 vs 10.2), and there were 35 WR's with 9 or more TD's. Again, solid, I expect him to get drafted, but I'd doubt that it will be before round 4 or 5 at best.

To put it in perspective - Reggie Lindsey had more yards on 53 catches, 11 Td's, an 18.5 average, and an 89 yard longest.

Chad's a good kid. He and my son used to run around a bit when we lived in Hoover, and I wish him the best. It's not that he's bad, he's just not that outstanding.

I know that Spurrier and his offense is no longer at Uf , but when you mention UF that's what comes to mind. Mention bammer, Bear Bryant comes to mind. Penn State=Joe Paterno, Grambling=Eddie Robinson ,FSU=Bowden

When it's time for players to be drafted, records are not all that matters, potential and talent are 95% of the job. Chad has alot of potential and talent.
