Anybody heard this? I heard a rumor today that they are building a new $300 million basketball stadium that will seat 24,000 people & be similar to an NBA arena. Hard to believe Cal has already pulled this off. They are in the design phase right now.

Might ought to wait till he proves he can make it happen up there.
Lots of people going to be watching and reporting any bad behavior.

If they're already in the design phase, then this has absolutely nothing to do with Cal and everything to do with some spare change burning a hole in the athletic department's wallet. If you had all your ducks in a row from day 1 of his arrival, you still couldn't be at a design phase of a new arena by September.

If they are building a new arena, it's been in the works for awhile.

I can't believe there is any interest in the UK bb program from a Memphis perspective.

Moved to the NTR forum...a new arena has nothing to do with Memphis.

This was being talked about long before Cal got there. The reason they're doing it is because they can't be upstaged by L'ville.
