Unitil the ink is dry on the Allen Iverson to sign with the Memphis Grizzlies the deal is not done as of yet. If he agrees to be a backup and be a team player, then that is a good deal. But their are big if's, considering AI past history with being a teammmate on any team.
Please let iverson go somewhere else.
The people who want him to go somewhere else. The Grizzlies suck. They're gonna suck with him or without him. Let him come in. He will at least draw people to the games. When I was working for the Grizz (3 seasons). Other than Lebron, AI was the next biggest draw. The Grizzlies have a solid young core. Adding a guy like Iverson doesn't hurt. If he screws up, simply cut him mid season.
The Memphis Grizzlies need A.I. plain and simple. As many negatives as there are..the man puts butts in the seats and has a recognizable name. He will be entertaining and if not A.I. who else could we get? Flip Murry? No thanks. We need a scorer off the bench and at worst we only have hime for a year so its a risky investment but has a potential for great rewards.
just heard about this on ESPN glad hes here

I completely agree. He can score. He will no doubt sell tickets. It's a risky investment but it will work out hopefully.
good deal ... in more ways than A.I. being a Grizzly ...
Having a legitimate big-name superstar coming to the city is only good news. Glad to have AI here in Memphis and hopefullly things will work out for the best! The Grizz should be a LOT more entertaining to watch this year.
I never thought I would say this, but I am glad to hear AI will be in Memphis. At the very least, it is something exciting for an organization that is almost always anything but exciting. Maybe he can do some good for the Grizz. And if he causes trouble, like a previous poster said, just let him go.
if and i say if, iverson is a success here, at the very least it will show other players that memphis is a place that they can succeed in as well. small market teams have a hard time overcoming that stigma.
Listen to me. Like mentioned above. He will put butts in the seats. HE will get that placed filled up for the first time ever without Tigers ever being there.
The Tigers, Redbirds, Sounds and Titans are way more popular than the Grizzlies. Sure we have some season ticket holders for the Grizz but seriously, A.I. will bring in a new era for the Grizzlies.
I don't see playoffs but I see a team that is hungry to get back to what they were and yes they were something.
Remember Shane Battier?
why people don't want Iverson to play for the Grizzlies I have no idea. What are the alternatives? He had his worst year ever last year and still averaged over 17 pts a game. This team needs more NBA caliber players, not former college stars.

The Sounds? Their stadium doesn't even hold what the Grizzlies sell to games and their average attendance is less than 5000 per game. The Predators,
maybe. I don't disagree with your point though.
Good deal all around. We have no where to go but up from here.

You just said the words "Sounds" and "Popular" in the same sentence. That's hilarious.
