Cue the "that's the visitors side and there's 30,000 people on the home side you can't see" response. [/align]

you know, I've heard that! lol 05-stirthepot
There may be 8 or 9K on the home side. It's pitiful, but most Blazer fans are convincing themselves that the future is bright and there are no problems. It's a joke.
It looks even worse when they pan around. UAB has got to get a smaller stadium and do something, anything to get that attendance up.

Does UAB get a big student crowd?

Most of them are probably in Atlanta for the Bama game tonight. 03-banghead

It varies.
Funny that a Houston fan would be running attendance smack on UAB. I guess you guys are expecting to sell out Robertson tonight?
We'll get more than the 8,000-9,000 quoted at the UAB game.
The UAB fans have come out in the dozens to support their Blazers.
How is UAB funding their athletic department with these low attendance games? I mean...
It had been raining hard in Birmingham from early morning up until an hour before the game. I knew the weather would impact the crowd. UAB just don't have the dedicated fanbase other CUSA schools have and it is truly embarrassing.

But at least it hasn't affecting the football team. They are whipping Rice azz 20-3 in the 2nd quarter.

That's the sad part. The team is looking great and deserves much better.

27-3 now. I think next week crowd will be much better especially if they win big today and the weather is better. But yes, the guys deserve better.
I'll have pics of the home crowd up later on. My estimate, being at the game, is around 15k.

They showed the home side on TV as well. There was not 15K there.

Well, being as I was there in person and you were not, I'll let everyone draw their own conclusions.
The people I was sitting with speculated that this thread would be waiting for us when we got home, and you guys didn't disappoint.

I guess the asswhoopin' somehow missed you.
