So glad that this series is ending. I've never had to endure a more delusional group of fans, ever. Your sense of your teams accomplishments is way out of whack.
All Ole Miss fans can go to Hell.
Although, I bet Satan doesn't care for you much either.

Are you the genius that came up with the Bust-a-Nutt t-shirts? Busch league...I too am glad this series is over so I don't have to put up with such trashy and rude fans. You guys make LSU fans look like saints. I can assure you a couple things though. Ole Miss will have more fans at the liberty Bowl, seeing that you have only sold about 15,000 (what a joke) to the Ole Miss game, and we will throttle your pathetic team.
Just like an Ole Miss fan to prove the point, huh?

Don't worry, we Rebel fans reciprocate the feeling wholeheartedly. Good riddance to tiger high I say.

I seem to remember a Mississippi Head Football Coach taking recruits to topless bars in Memphis. Kinda lets you know cheating goes on in many different ways. Huh?
Oh; don't forget the 2 Rebel football players arrested on Beale packing heat (guns) just a few years ago. LOL

that pic, which is a lame attempt to slam Ole Miss, is just as offensive to African Americans as it is to any Ole Miss fan. I wouldn't expect anything else coming from the trashiest fans in the NCAA over at commuter U. Man, I'm so glad I didn't have to settle for such a pathetic place.
The only thing pathetic is an old myth's fan's lofty sense of self worth. And for what noone knows.
The most under achieving program in the sec.

and yet you would switch places in a second. instead, you'll spew out your garbage about how life's not fair because of the BCS. you will continue to have to rent every facility you play in because you can't gather enough support to justify having your own stadiums. your claim to fame is basketball, and yet programs like UNC and Duke laugh at your pathetic wanna be tradition. you have cheated numerous times to achieve nothing. I laugh every time I think about that choke job during the national championship. I would give you props for taking second, but it is apparent that your university has cheated on numerous occasions to achieve nothing.

You must have a pretty small and boring life to have time to continually visit a message board for a University which you aren't a fan of, or even care about just to worry our hooks about one stinking football game. Not to mention that you've even created a new username to come back from your previous banning. What in God's name is the point?

I have known MANY Ole Miss fans in my lifetime. Many of which are family members, unfortunately.
That picture would not offend ANY of them. They'd ALL get a kick out of it and start up with their standard comments about how, "they don't have any problems with Blacks, everyone should own one", or "how the south is gonna rise again", or "Mem-Frica".
I know MANY U of Miss. people and I can't think of ANY that would take offense to that picture. None of them.

you are an idiot.
Knowing many OM folks and their character, I would be concerned if they or you liked me.
I've been called much worse by your type. Including being repeatedly referred to as a Nigg## Lover, throughout the years, almost EXCLUSIVELY by people from Missippi/OM fans.
And, if you are who I think you are (memphisrebel), you are a loud mouth coward....and you know what I'm talking about!

With Nutt's last name? That's not the first time that phrase has been used by an opposing school. He should be used to that by now. His brother Dickey is doubly cursed. I can assure you...nobody wants you here in Memphis, ever. Stay in MS.

wow, that's strange because the most horrendous act of racism I've ever seen in person was at a University of Memphis frat party some years back. I was shocked and embarrassed by what happened. My friend ,a memphis alum, and I left immediately because I can not stand that ignorance.
and btw, for someone who claims to be race friendly, you sure are embellishing a highly offensive picture posted by one of your fellow ignorant Tiger fans. The picture is not funny to any race. The fact that your fellow Tiger friend has archived this picture is even worse.
Sunday evening, I will return to this messageboard and just soak in how pathetic each and every one of you is going to look after my football team has just finished a four hour long controlled demolition of Tommy West's career.
That's fine. Just know that if the Tigers win, I am going to wear your ass out, mercilessly.
And by that, I mean 'verbally' wear you out...so don't get your hopes up.

As I have repeatedly done, I again ask, What has old myth done or won in the last 40 years?? i know the answer, but Would sure like to hear one of you a-holes admit it...NOTHING. Do you realize that you rank 9th in the SEC in titles won in all sports!! 9th. In fb you have won only 1 more title than Ga Tech and 3 more than Tulane and they haven't been members of the SEC in 40 years. By the way MS State is ranked 5th. And who are you to be talking of someone cheating.
Old Myth is just what it is

I just would like to see the meltdown from the 70% of your fans who are predicting a win. That's funny.
70%?? We know where we are, you guys are the ones that are delusional.
(09-04-2009 08:41 AM)mphstiger Wrote: [ -> ]70%?? We know where we are, you guys are the ones that are delusional.
Please read the prediction thread.
What, exactly, do you expect to obtain from a group of Memphis fans....on a Memphis web board....where an Ole Miss fan starts a thread to blindly bash Memphis? (I know this isn't that thread) Are we supposed to give up on the Tigers, and just say...well, gee...ya know what...the Rebels are just the greatest thing since the invention of the rebel flag...screw all the years I've been loyally following a team based on either region, family raising, and/or alma mater.
I welcome fans of other teams to come on here and do a little trash talk, discuss football, and generally behave in a congenial manner. You, however, have no goal, except to tell us how great you and "your" team are. Well...whoopty friggin' doo. I'm not going to defect from the Tigers, and I certainly don't expect you to defect from the rebels, so, the least you could do is to quite acting like such an a-hole. You are the reason many of us have certain connotations towards Ole Miss, and you do a piss poor job of representing the University you love so much.
I know, I know...I provide no substance to this board...says the visiting fan with less than 100 posts.
I do not know about the substance you provide to the message board, but I do recognize your misuse of standard English grammar and spelling. For instance, the word quite is an adverb meaning, "completely, wholly, or entirely," according to dictionary.com. Since it is an adverb, it cannot be used in the in the position you placed it in that sentence. I can only assume that you sought the word quit, which means to cease or stop. Quit is a verb and can be used there. Also earlier in the sentence the word, "rebels," should capitalized, as it is a proper noun. Finally the word connotations that you use later in the same paragraph is just the wrong word. A connotation is a secondary implication beyond the standard understanding of a word, phrase, symbol, action, etc. It seems you were hoping to use a word synonymous with opinion. Some possibilities would have been assumptions or conceptions.
I am not the same Ole Miss fan that has previously been posting here. I am only posting to point out that you may have some fanciful ideas of the capabilities of your own team and you may think that Ole Miss fans are less than magnanimous, but at least we understand English and can use it properly. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Total BS, redneck.
If you actually graduated from Ole Miss you are one of the few Rebels fans that even went to college. Blow you grammar policing out of your bunghole and worry yourself with more important problems. Like why Mississippi is the poorest state in the Union, has the highest teen birth rate, has the highest infant mortality rate, etc. Basically, the worst place to live in the country. Maybe with your brain you could fix some of those problems, or can you only point out inane, trivial typos?
Got to Hell, Reb, and stay there. (You might know Hell by it's other, more common name: Mississippi.)
I'm not entirely sure what has led you to believe that few Rebel fans actually attended college. I can't find any evidence to support your capricious assertion. I can however find evidence of dedication to our respective institutions of higher learning through our endowments. While Memphis has slightly more than $180 million in its endowment, The University of Mississippi holds nearly $500 million. This is not the only evidence I can proffer, but I feel it should suffice to show both the extreme dedication to Ole Miss by its supporters and alumni and the quality of education those individuals receive, which enables them to provide monetary support for the University's future success.
I find it odd that you would assert Mississippi to be the worst place to live in the country. According to Forbes magazine, that place is Stockton, California. However, the second worst place to live is
Memphis, Tennessee. Not to say I don't enjoy the occasional visit to Memphis. I did not write on this message board to criticize Memphis to begin with, only to point out another writer's lack of mastery of basic English grammar and spelling. However, if you want to criticize Mississippi, Ole Miss, Oxford, etc. I can certainly return the favor. I appreciate your bringing facts about the entire state of Mississippi into your argument, but they honestly do not represent Oxford at all.
I'll rest my case for now.
Enjoy the game today.
Ha Ha wow. I was gonna crow about our win today, but the above post says all that needs to be said.

What, Oxford has a bubble around it that separates it from the rest of the state? Oxford citizens don't pay taxes that fund the state government?
Go to Hell.
No thanks for all the games over the years. Now that the series is over, hopefully for good, you have no reason to come back to Memphis.
Stay in Oxford or wherever in MS since it's so damn great.
Only thing I'm upset about is that the Tigers weren't allowed a chance because of the guy taking the snaps.
A Hall cost the Tigers the game last year and he did again this year.
That Ole Miss team isn't the #8 team at all. Welcome back to playing for not-last in the SEC West with Miss State, Rebs.
