Before you guys got Nutt you probably were hoping to at least get someone as decent as West. The stars aligned and somehow you pulled off a good hire. I know when O was hired it was because nobody else wanted to coach there.

No, you are correct. Tommy West is one of the best coaches in America. I would replace Nutt right now for West. He is awesome!

He can recruit, motivate, and fundraise. His actual coaching ability is quite weak.
I feel confident that UTK is really going in the right direction with a braintrust like Ed Orgeron and Lane Kiffin.

Yes he was a great coach, but he left us for what he thinks is greener pastures. Sometimes the grass will not be green on the other side, as Calipari will soon learn at the University of Kentucky Wildcats. I like Houston Nutt as a football coach for the Ole Miss Rebels, but this year will not be as easy as everyone thinks.
