Why should he? The Arrington clique - Arrington himself, Bell, Germany, Hilliard - repeatedly weaseled out of some seeming slam dunks. Even used the pardon-the-civil-rights-vets ploy. Germany finally went down, but Bell's still in office. And Langford I do not doubt believes himself far smarter than any of them (not that it would take much).
