Vick signs two year deal with the Eagles. Good or bad? Discuss
i like it, i know he did somethin very wrong but everyone deserves a second chance
Good for him. He did his time.
This is disappointing. The best fit for him was Cleveland.
As a Philly fan I'm too excited for this season. Imagine McNabb as QB with Vick, Westbrook, Jackson, and Maclin in the game. This is going to give DC's an added headache. Go Eagles!!! And since I know bTip is reading this... Get ready for the sweep Cowboys!
What a joke. It figures that a Super Bowl wanna be franchise would sign him. Maybe he can play RB when Westbrook gets hurt. Personally, I hope he breaks his neck in Dallas and the Cowboy fans give him a standing O. Those losers did it to Irivn (and he actually had 3 more SB rings than the Beagles)
i think he would have fit pretty well in Miami, they like to run that wildcat offense, they could really confuse the defense with him and ronnie brown back there switching things up every play

Calm down turbo. You just wished a broken neck on someone.
Just glad he's out of Atlanta. We have had enough issues with him.

I do not know really what the future will hold for Michael Vick with the Philadelphia Eaglrs, but I feel by week three Mr. Vick will be playing for the Eagles. I think Vick will play a series of two at the beginning, and may play more depending on Donovan McNabb play or if he is out with a serious injury. Remember Michael Vick is really insurance in case Donovan McNabb gets hurt and has had season-ending injuries two out of the last three years.
Im just glad he didnt land with my two teams the Panthers and Packers. I dont think I could have brought myself to root for him.

I believe in second chances, but maybe that's just me.

He's getting his second chance, he served his time and was released.
He wasn't throwing in a pit to and forced to fight. God forbid if he lost cause we know what the outcome of that would be.
Now he is job hunting and behold the Eagles will be paying 1.6 mill first year then 5.2 mill second year option.
Only way this would be acceptable is if he gave 85% of what he earned to the Humane Society.
Me personally if I where a Eagle fan I would have to write the GM and tell him what an idiot he is.
Think I'll do it anyway.
Screw Mike..........

I agree with you 100% TIPWAL, but as I said previously, I'm glad he's out of Atlanta. He would have been too much of a distraction here.

He has paid his debt for his boneheaded actions. Only he can determine if he is worthy of the 2nd chance, by his actions in the future both on AND off the field.

I wish him success in Philly, just not against the Falcons.

And you know if the Eagles come to Atlanta, the PA system will be blasting "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT, . . . "
If I am not mistaken, he has lost everything.
After the baseball Cardinals whip Philly arse in the NLCS, the Iggles will need to console the city.

If moving money around to show he's broke then sure he lost everthing.

what people forget is Mr. Vick participated in a six-year pattern of illegal activity. His plea clearly stated that along with these activities, he savagely electrocuted and beat dogs to death after they lost their brutal fights. It is this barbarism that sets the crime apart in my opinion. This was not a one-time transgression—this was a multi-year pattern of behavior that demonstrates a startling lack of moral character and judgment.

Screw Mike.... He's not my hero......

The Dawg Pound would love him if the Browns started winning

When a person becomes rich, a person does not have to hide anything and be who they really are. In reality, people will change behavior only when he or she has lost everything and is at rock bottom in my opinion once a person becomes an adult. At this point in his NFL career and his lfe, Michael Vick is at rock bottom, and he can only go up to pay his creditors and return to a somewhat normal and productive life. He indeed lived the lifestyle and he has been punished. From here on in his life, Let us let God judge him for what he does or does not do.

I hope him well now the next part of his life with football and his life after professional football. He has to advocate for against dog fighting in one the cities in country with one of the most dog fighting cases in the United States. Every day for him will be a battle. You could compare what Michael Vick attempt to come back as if he were a recovering alcoholic trying not to drink. Every day will indeed be difficult for him to not go back to his old habits, even if he has had epihany and found God. That is what is facing Michael Vick every day for the rest of his life.
people make mistakes in there life (some a little bigger than others) dont act like you havent done something u have regreted before, he did his time (yea it wasnt alot of time but he did it), if we can give murderers and rapists a second chance i think we can do the same for Mike

and i think the best fit for him would be Miami where they run that Wildcat offense with Ronnie Brown, that would be insane

It actually was a lot of time compared to other dogfighters, but i don't want to get into an argument. I'm ready for the interview. This should be interesting. I just hopes he can keep it together and make good of this 2nd opportunity.

I'm willing to put a friendly wager on that series, if you are.
