Not much to report, but the one player who has made significant strides already is Nick Cicic. He was much quicker and made several nice layups while I was there. Ricky Davison is extremely quick and will certainly fit into the picture. Playing time will be tough to get this year. A lot of good players. Putting the pieces together will be the biggest problem Steve will have. Finding the right combinations that play well together. It's a nice problem to have. I hope to get out tomorrow for more of the game. They were nearly finished when I arrived.

That is good news. Competition within the squad makes it better. I hope no one has a guaranted starting spot, it is that close.

Right now I would say Bozeman and III are locks to start at the point and two guard spots. Big Mike or Burton will start off at either the four or five spots or both. Other than that, I believe it's wide open. But there are a lot of practices between now and the first game, so anything's possible.
