Non profanity Rant:
Im not going to go into specific users, but I am starting to see why my rep is starting to drop each time I come on here.

Whenever I make a non biased thread, I am criticized for doing so by immature posters who feel anything that I post that isnt Tiger biased is somehow attacking the school or team. Im not a Tiger football fan or football fan in general so I am not talking to you posters.

However there are so very immature and disgustingly homer Tiger posters on this site that rivals the mindboggling idiocy of Kentucky fans. These people cant even discuss Tiger basketball in a non overly biased way and accuse others of not being real Tiger fans.

Im criticized on here for no reason at all, and it bothers me that im being criticized by my fellow fans who come on here for the same purpose as me to talk Tiger basketball. Some of you make me ashamed to be a Tiger fan, its embarassing how some of you conduct yourselves on here. Im better off supporting Tiger basketball on my own rather than having to put up with the constant verbal attacks from people 2-3X my age that to their credit do nothing but spam 1 syllable words in threads as a joke.

Are you serious? If so, that is terrible. I personally haven't witnessed anything like that on the board, but I've only been on here since June. I expect a great deal of homer bias, but objective evaluation shouldn't be shunned. It is funny how success can make many fans believe that their gut feelings are more valuable than others' objective analysis.

I looked at your rep man. It's a balanced picture, as I think you're a decent poster, but you do rub people the wrong way occasionally. Such is life. It's a green/red number that means less than the pixels it's indicated with...

My objective analysis is considered to be lack of insight.

I cant even post a thread asking about our new Coach and his ability to teach, motivate, and inspire players without being criticisized and shunned off as just nonsensical ramblings from a troll.

I cant even suggest we might be a NIT team this year without an instant big time player without being being criticisized and shunned off as just nonsensical ramblings from a troll.

Ive seen it happen to others also, Im just speaking from my point of view. Its quite pathetic, slowly watch as my rep turns from Green to Red for even posting this thread.

I actually have attempted previously to avoid doing just that.

Some things are better left unsaid. You started the post so here's the deal... Pastner has never coached a game, how do we know he is any good? When you state the obvious, in my opinion, you are saying to the reader you probably aren't smart enough to get this.

It is at this point a legitimate question but I don't know how well Pastner will go at this point. I believe in him recruiting ability, but coaching and continuing to motivate talent at this point is up in the air since we have not played a game here at Memphis. His past indicates he can do both well, but some assistant coaches cannot take the next step up. I think Pastner will be able to adapt and be a great head coach. I think the NCAA tournament team is possible because of the conference we play lack of talent for the most part compared to Memphis. In a big conference with a new coach, Memphis would be NIT bound. Our circumstances favor us to get to the NCAA tournament. I do not thinnk this first year will be easy, however.

You are right about one thing, some here are no better than some Kentucky fans.

I'm not a homer and I'm not biased. When someone starts a "Cal", "Kentucky", or some other similar thread unrelated to the Tigers.. I don't throw up a fuss and start complaining.

But I must say that a good amount of your posts have annoyed me Interminator. I can't give you specifics, but some just seem like they have no base and are going nowhere. But that's just me. Alot of the good posters have posts that bother me, but I'm just saying my view on this whole situation.

Oh. And the thread about "What if Pastner can't coach?" You went about that in the wrong way. You don't start a poll and you don't start off your case by saying "what if he can't coach?" You start the topic off by saying your ideas of his coaching ability, and then you ask others what their opinion is.

I am not going to rep you one way or the other because I honestly could care less about my rep points but I will say that thread did kinda rub me the wrong way. I mean why even start a thread like that? From what we hear the majority of this stuff on this board gets back to coaches, players, and writers. So you know how that will come across to Pastner. He basically hit the ground running and has been recruiting his ass off getting players and the fan base is already doubting him. I know that's not how you meant it but that's how most people took it. Don't worry about rep points.

Cal was a terrible bench coach so if Pastner gets these kids and he can coach worth a lick we should be successful.

Does anyone else not really understand what is going on here? Why does it matter if people think you are a fan or not? If people are not going to answer your question, then they are not going to answer your question. They may bash you for it. Why does that matter?
