He's telling the truth. UK has a ridiculous number of die hard fans, so he gets many more "followers" on twitter than he would here or at UMass. So, he's telling the trusth...however, there is no reason to say it.

Other than Louisville athletics, what else does Kentucky have... horse racing? Coal mining? Of course the UK basketball program carries interest throughout the state.

Calipari always likes to 'tickle the ears' of his fans. Whatever the story it will be slanted towards his audience which in this case are UK fans. Kentucky fans will buy it hook, line and sinker like we did but the man's words are empty.

I know when he was coaching Memphis all we heard about was Umass. Sounds like we are just part of that same soundbite now.
