Former Texas Gov. Bill Clements is giving $100 million to UT Southwestern Medical Center, the largest single gift in the institution's history and perhaps the biggest one-time financial pledge to any civic body in Dallas history, UT Southwestern officials will announce Friday.
The donation comes with no restrictions on its use, a rarity for a gift of such size, medical center officials say.
that's big time. Wish someone could pony up that kind of cash for University of Memphis. Some FedEx dude gave ole miss $100 million couple years to teach their students to read (Reading Institute).

Living here in Texas...it just amazes me to see the amount of large donations UT gets from alums and other Texans. On top of that, they get money from oil well royalites too by state law. Money is getting pumped into that school from all over the place. Of course, knowing this and then beating them in basketball makes it all that much sweeter.
