You know, the first few times I heard this guy (and still now from time to time), I think, "Who is this clown?" But I do have to admit, I have heard him do several interviews, including with Chris Wallace yesterday, and I have to admit that he is a heck of an interviewer. He asks good questions and is very knowledgeable of the topic he is interviewing about.

So, it gives me at least a little bit of a reason to listen. It is a slightly better choice than Whinebooger and crew in the afternoon....
Vernon has the best interviews in this market, just like he's had for a long time.

That is really, really sad. Memphis really needs new talent.
Can't listen. He just comes across as a very immature individual to have a radio show.
He also gets much better guests, it's too bad the station is mostly static in 80% of the city.
you know, Verno does come across as an immature punk, but he is pretty knowledgeable and has some good points. His style is lacking in many cases...
He is the best option in town. That says quite a bit for 560. Espn radio is well espn radio and completely ignores any local stories, which makes it next to useless for me.
Verno reminds me of junior high, too many years ago.

Can't listen to Gary Parish either. Caulkins was great when he would debate Lapides and be winning when ole George would quickly move on to something else.
