Other fans are starting to catch on to Cal's deceptive ways. It seems that Cal is not posting all of his own "twitters" as most believe. Probably not most of them, IMO. UK fans will learn over time that Cal is an operator and all is not what it seems.

Also, others CastPause wonder who is "mysteriously" manipulating Calipari's Twitter following. They are so naive, they don't realize that it is Calipari, himself - the master salesman and self-image builder!

Not having lived close to Memphis during Calipari's tenure, I just watched Memphis play on TV and never really paid attention what he said daily or how much of a "Mr. Big" he was in the city of Memphis. I am just now learning how much of a master manipulator he is and am intrigued that he is able to basically give the same old spin at UK that he used in Memphis (deals with China, etc.) and have them believe that it is something he has recently dreamed up just for them! Of course, Memphis also eagerly drank his koolaid while he was here, so I can't be too hard on UK fans.

The way he is able to sell himself and manipulate the thinking of others is very intriguing, kind of like reading about how people were mesmerized by and drawn to Jim Jones - except, this goes on as we speak. So, to answer your question, no I don't care about Calipari and UK basketball in particular - I just find his methods of swaying "the masses" a very interesting study, from a psychological point of view.

We put up with it for much longer than they will. If he gets John Wall, they will expect a NC next year. If he doesnt deliver, the "for sale" signs will start flowing to his new home in Lexington. If he doesnt deliver the year after that, KFC will be out of a job....if not already in NY "coaching" LeBron.
I read his stuff on twitter...he's got over 24k followers.

How many 18 wheelers will it take to get his oversized ego to Lexington??

He is so full of himself, and I'm being nice!

The point of one of the links was, some of the fans are questioning whether they are all legit or not. My feeling is that Calipari is "stuffing the ballot box" to make it appear that he has a much larger following than he actually does.
