Oh did I forget to mention it was the Nascar Jeremy Mayfield. 03-cloud9

One line in the story does apply though

Quote:This incident highlights the disintegration of a promising career

don't complain about your sponsor mobil 1.
I changed the title to avoid a AUP violation.
i think it was a written test
Another new low, mb. Excellent.

When did this board lose it's sense of humor? Maybe it wasn't funny, but it definitely isn't a new low. I've gone lower plenty of times.
+1 you have........

Thanks Matt.
MB

If you could list the biggest basketball busts we have had, what would be your top say 5 in no particular order.

J. Mayfield.........showed potential vs Florida in his Freshman year.
Asa Woods..........i expected him to be one of our best players ever.
Derrick Underwood...
Earl Ike...............if i remember right he did ok at a lower division school.
Rod Willie............same as above.
Maybe it would have been more acceptable if I had repeated Dyck over and over. That kind of humor is appreciated here.

I am not Memphis Blazer but I'll play:

1. Eddie Collins
2. Derrick "Body like a Greek God" Underwood
3. Lorenza "Cat" Smith (if we're counting health)
4. Pat Craft
5. Chris Lee. I hate putting him on here because he's one of the best guys to ever wear the uniform, as a human being, but he practiced like a lottery pick and except for two games played like the guy in the topic header.

I hate that Chris is in this list as well. I know that he had a lot of preseason hype but in all fairness to him he never adjusted playing in the low post. Big as he was, he was the point in high school. He played better facing the basket, not with his back to the basket. He had the best ball handling skills on the team.
1. Larry Rembert....If he would have gotten one more three second violation for unnecessary pump fakes I would have snapped.
2. Earl Ike
3. Willie Mitchell....I know he was a transfer but he was an example that if you sucked at your first school chances are you will suck at your second school.
4. Eric Bush....See above.
5. Mike Davis.... This thread shouldn't be limited to athletes.
