Just heard today while watching their game on tv that they spent $35 million on their new baseball stadium. Isn't it amazing how much $$$ these BCS schools receive? There is zero equality in college sports...
I mean... who ever talks about Gamecock baseball?
Yea I was watching the game and that stadium is impressive. It looked like a smaller scale MLB stadium. Very Very Nice!!

South Carolina has one of the best baseball programs in the country. They've been to Omaha at least twice in recent years. Despite that, you're still right about the lack of equity between BCS and non-BCS schools.
how much did auto zone park cost
Hey at least they spent it on a new stadium. What pisses me off, and very well proves that the BCS schools get WAYYY too much money compared to non-BCS schools is where Ole Miss and Mississippi State both spent multi-millions to build... new jumbo-screens.
Memphis: "goodness... it's going to take a while for us to raise enough money to get a new weight room"
Ole Miss: "goodness... what should we do with all this extra money? HEY! a new jumbo-screen might be cool"
Those scoreboards are paid for by advertisements on the scoreboard and broadcasting related to the scoreboard and replay. The Universities don't actually pay for them, they just have to make the decision to build, get all of the contracts in order, take bids, and get the work done.
TigerFIL is correct. It was basically a $6m gift from Telesouth.

You can add Tennessee to the list of schools getting a multi million dollar scoreboard, supposed to be the nicest in the SEC.
