I could definitely help with something...
Kitten I knew that you could.
When do the Bronx Bombers play again . I could look it up, but I know that you know. We need to get it in gear.
They're actually playing good baseball tonite. Yanks lead Toronto 8-2 in the 7th. 1st time all year it seems that they're stringing together hits instead of waiting on the long ball. Only HR has come from...... Brett Gardner (his 1st career). BG now has more HR's than Ortiz as crazy as that seems. I'll just be glad when they et everyone in the lineup together. ARod comes back - Posada, Matsui, Jeter get hurt.
Oh, and there's been a Mark Texiera sighting in Toronto tonite. 2 for 4 w/ 2 RBI. The Yankees 3rd baseman is 0 for 1 with 3 walks.
It has seemed to be something these days. They need to get to full strength. Glad there was a Texiera. I'm sure all those millions is a heavy burden. I'm still tying to be a hundredaire. Gardner has a home run. Must be those canadian baseballs. Who knows.
They are saying Jeter won't be back until the home stand..
good chance to get 2 of 3 from Toronto tomorrow w/ CC on the bump. The starting pitching ever so slightly seems to be sorting itself out. Throw out the Hughes disaster last Sat and the Yankees have allowed 0,3,5,2 over the last 4 games. NYY holds teams to 5 or less and they're gonna win most of the time.
and to make the nite better- Wakefield and his 60mph garbage junkball are getting shelled in Anaheim.
Hard to believe that wakefield is still around, I think we are the same age. JK.
So he has a new girlfriend and a pulled oblique. Wonder how that happened.

Well...I wish I could say it was because of me...but alas...no..

Maybe he is faking so he can stay at home for Kitten's last weekend in the Apple.

They are playing at home this weekend...so he didn't have to fake it. I was actually thinking about attending one more this weekend but I don't want to go if he is not playing. I can watch cheaper at a bar.
Kitten- Jeter and Matsui both back in the lineup tonite.

Jeter hit a rbi single to tie up the game. I so love him...
CC's last 2 starts combined: 17 IP, 2 ER and Yankees are 4-2 since ARod came back. Need a winning homestand
Headed in the right direction.
hope u made it out tonite Kitten. what a game!!! Jeter hits a homer for ya, Gardner gets an inside the park HR (would have had 2 but he slipped and had to settle for a triple), and Yanks get 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win it off Nathan.

I was there...I got a free ticket!! woohoo!!
Was following the game last night but had to cut it short due to an unscheduled nap then it was all over. What the heck.

It is crazy right now in the Bronx!!!
My Twins gave 2 of those away. We cannot beat the Yanks on the road! Will be golfing with Dave Winfield in a few weeks and he always likes to "rub it in" to all of the Twins faithful.
There was a great story about The Brett Gardner home run. It was on espn last night. He had visited a hospital. Visited a little girl, and she gave him a little yellow bracelet. She told him he would hit a home run. Then that night he hits the inside the parker. It was a really touching story.
The young girl was waiting for a heart for a transplant.
going for 6 in a row tonite w/ the big fella on the mound. 7-2 since A Rod came back. keep it going boys!

I'll take 6 in a row.
actually, Pettitte pitched tonite. I got a little ahead of myself looking at the probables on yankees.com CC goes tomorrow nite against Baltimore.
It wasn't art, but it was just enough. Petitte always drives me nuts.

Did you see the inside the parker? It was part gork, part dying quail, and part ground ball with eyes. And the little girl got her heart transplant. Take that atheism.

Yeah , I saw it. Saw the story. And I think that ball had a little chicken blood on it, as we used to say in the old days. In the scorebook, it will look like an upper deck shot.
and I thought ARod had only hit a homerun on Sat, Sun, and Mon against the Twins. Looks like he hit 1 Friday nite as well.
Yanks need a win tonite w/ Carsten Charles on the mound cuz Hughes is pitching tomorrow vs Guthrie. Games like tonite's are the ones I hate-- some scrub pitcher (probably a lefty) w/ an ERA of about 8 that the Yanks have never seen and these clowns always seem to pitch the game of their life. Add to that, the Red Suxx at home vs Toronto so a Yankee win means NY picks up a game on someone.
7 in a row. Lets make it 8 tonite! Told ya'll the Yanks were gonna get hot when they started getting everyone healthy. ARod isnt even 100% yet. Bruney is back, CMW and Posada coming back soon. Team looks to be having fun for the 1st time in yrs. Gonna be a fun summer (unless you hate the Yankees).
It's about time we had some fun.
I knew they would come around.
Yes...once I leave town...
Actually they started this trend after I got my cute haircut. hmmmm...

Keep it cut the same style for the summer Kitten. It was a great move. Plus it looks good on ya. I know you are probably thinking not as good as Jeter would.

We really need to go to Atlanta to watch them play the braves.
wish they were playing ATL on a weekend
lets make it 9 in a row tonite!
yanks up 7-4 in the top of the 7th.
However, Joba exited in the first due to a knee injury. Already into the pen.

Quote:Yankees starter Joba Chamberlain left his start in the first inning on Thursday after being struck by a line drive below his right knee, but X-rays taken during the game were negative, confirming that the right-hander had nothing more than a bruise.
The right-hander started his evening against the Orioles with a strikeout of Brian Roberts before Adam Jones drilled a hard line drive back up the middle.
The ball hit Chamberlain and deflected near the mound, where he picked it up and threw to first base for the forceout.
Line drive off Joba's knee. X-rays negative. Big series vs Philly this weekend.
By the way.... they're now 11-2 since ARod came back.

Which is Cool with me. I know he is not The Kittens favorite. But, I'll take it.

It is because they have to pitch to Texeira since A-Rod follows him. Texeira is relaxing and he is swinging the bat better. A-rod's batting average is .171. So it has taken pressure off of Texeira and he is the one playing better.
Cano looks like he is going on another tear as well. His avg had dipped to below .300 but he has back to back 3 for 4, 1 HR, 3 RBI games and 8 for last 15.
