We never hear anyone talking about the dead horse when someone is attacking Brian Mackin for not giving in to Davis. It's only a dead horse when it is something you disagree with.

Since the reporter is condemning petty UAB fans and lumping them all together, it does affect how I as a UAB fan is perceived.
You guys are acting like a bunch of crybabies and everyone else is being lumped in with you.
You are acting like a jackass so get over it. If you don't like it don't read the damn thread. Some may not like how your actions or words perceive other UAB fans. Heck, part of our fan base’s problem is folks with YOUR attitude, folks too willing to look the other way and just adhere to the status quo.

What is funny is I have actually had people in the Athletic department THANK US for some of our writing campaigns to certain media folks but I am sure he does not want to hear that.

Another question? What is the cutoff point for emails concerning wrong attendance figures in articles that we otherwise agree with. If he had said 17,000, would we mobilize into action? What about 18,500?

You will notice I've been very quiet about most of what has been said so don't even try to stick any of that on me. You should really take your own advice. If you don't like what I post, DON'T READ IT!
Over the past 5 months you've done nothing but whine, complain, and generally bitch about everything that's done at UAB. It's obvious that nothing is going to make you happy so you just want to make everyone else as miserable as you.
This board isn't just a place for fans to vent frustrations. It's also a place we can support the university. You seem to have forgotten what that is.

What are you talking about? During the season, I was one of the most positive posters on the board. I was one of the last posters to give up hope on an NCAA appearance and made every argument possible that we were still alive for a bid. I have not complained, whined or bitched about everything done at UAB. In fact I have led the fight in supporting Brian Mackin and his apparently unpopular decision not to cave to the demands of Demarcus Cousins for a stipulation to the LOI.
Now that the season is over, I am holding Davis accountable for three seasons of failures. That is not being negative toward UAB. The way I see it, accepting the status quo and Davis's assertion that the best we can do is "stay alive in CUSA" is being negative toward UAB.
Supporting the university does not mean you have to blindly agree with every decision made. Buying into the crap that Davis is feeding is not supporting UAB.
I support UAB. Whether that also includes supporting Davis is becoming a murky line.

All this is true. He was even accused of being a Pollyanna in regard to an NCAA bid opportunity.
I have been going to UAB basketball games since I was a baby, and I remember the good times, like when the twins had their pass, Mo Finley's shot heard round the world and many others. I also remember when we hired Davis, everyone thought it was a good decision and well a few years have passed and what do we have to show for it?

When I wrestled in high school, we'd just cut those strings off and shove them up our nostrils when they started bleeding. After the match was over, we'd take some forceps and fish them out.
