Once again we have reached the point in the football season where we are supposed to get our big gulp out of the cabinet and swallow 32 oz. of UAB green kool aid. Swig it good and swallow hard. Let all the excuses and rationalizations sink into every pour in your body. Better yet, soak your head in the green kool aid. How much is enough? How long do we have to suffer through this joke of a coach? The man can not get the job done. I don't blame Bolt, I blame Watson for hiring Bolt in the first place and not firing him in the second place. Then again how can he fire anybody when he sets the standard for acceptable job performance at UAB. When I saw the UAB players "celebrating" with 1 minute remaining I wanted to
.
I thought I would update the facts regarding Watson Brown for all his fans. Folks it is not going to get any better until a change is made. At this point I would take the High School coach at Tuscaloosa County or Hoover over Watson. At least they are intense and know how to win.

You Watson Brown fans want to shine the light of truth on something?

1986-90 - Brown at Vanderbilt 10-45.
Rice (1984-85). Posting a 4-18 record.
In 1983, Brown was the head coach at Cincinnati 4-6-1.
Brown made his head-coaching debut in 1979 at Division I-AA Austin Peay State. He posted 7-4 records in both 1979 and 1980. Folks, we are going BACKWARDS! There is no reason to be optimistic about next season. It will be the same as this year. Mix in Watson and Co.'s consistent inconsistency, turnover, defections and any other excuse they can come up with...facilities, money...blah, blah YAWN!!! Where will this "pressure" come from if Watson fails again?
Nowhere. He will go along with the same mediocre record year after year until finally nobody bothers to go to the games and Bear Jr. says: "See, I told you football would not work at UAB." and the plug gets pulled. If we keep Watson as head coach another day and this scenario will happen in the next 5 years. Remember you heard it here when we are shut down around 2008.
Have a nice day.
