Makes sense that Pitino wants to get bck to the NBA, whether the Hawks are crazy or not. He reportedly talked to Memphis about coming here w/ Richard and later moving to the Griz. That's why the Griz were involved in our search, allegedly.

That would have been an interesting situation to have (old)Pitino coaching our professional team, and the (young)Pitino coaching the college team at the same time.

I think it says a lot when the son leaves the team. Either Pitino is totally unbearable or is going to the NBA. Of course, both could be true.

If he does leave UL, who will be their HC and what will that do for recruiting? It may put UL in a very tough spot since many dominos have already fallen.
