I subscribe to ETSU's online newspaper edition The East Tennessean (I know kind of lame). One article I read, really disturbed me. The articles topic was several ETSU's student-athletes that were looking forward to becoming professional athletes. By athletes the article meant golf and tennis players at ETSU.
The news article stated that Warren, ETSU's golf flew to Italy to scout a player for the golf program in Johnson City. Simply, truly unbelievable.
Why is there no outrage within the Tri-Cities media? Or among BASA members, over a ETSU coach flying to Europe. No wonder ETSU cannot afford football nowadays.
Because he's paying for it through private dollars (i.e. Bill Greene and his own money). The East Tennessean is an outrage in itself, I really wish they would either do away with it or put it back in the hands of professors as part of a class. It makes the National Enquirer look like the Des Moines Register or Washington Post. That filthy bunch of pilaver isn't worth being laid down for a dog to poop on, I'm not joking the high school newspapers in the area are more reputable with real journalistic articles than that piece of trash.
Why don't you say what you really think, Lover?

Keeping your feelings in isn't good for you.

However, it is pretty sad. No the National Enquirer so much, as the Halls Shoppper.
I remember how they just loved to publish the anti football peices, when they were getting alot more pro-football letters.
For those of us with Communications degrees from ETSU that damn paper gives our degree less credibility.
