How about Jay Wright from Villanova. I doubt that Nova can pay what Memphis can, and he's obviously a good recruiter and coach. And he has good Eastern recruiting connections. If they don't hire Gillispie, Wright should be right up there on their radar.
But Villanova is a basketball school; Penn State isn't. I am sure they would be glad to get Jay Wright, but I don't see him leaving a top Big East school to go to Memphis.

They would strike out on Jay Wright, just like they did with Anderson, Floyd, Miller, Pearl, etc. They need to get realistic over there.
