They start off properly...they like the kid because he is theirs, but think it was stupid of him to talk trash.

Then a few thugs step in...start agreeing that the unsportsmanlike play was great.

Then the thugs create an environment that gets more to start the same tired trash heaping on Memphis...all of who ignore the fact that Memphis has beaten the crap out of a lot of teams in the NCAA...more than Duke, more than NC, more than MD...combined...the last three seasons.

Then the Memphis are non reading thugs begins. Then they actually think it was the wisest move in the world for Vazquez to act like an a$$.

They could have taken the approach that they think it was pretty infantile by the player and they wish he had acted more maturely but it really should not make any difference in the game...but that would be too mature.

My take is it will not matter. But in a sport where the coaches and the alums are supposed to enjoy the athetics AND help create mature young men, to condone idiocy is more moronic. We liked Andre Allen, but universally condemned his actions. They could take a lesson. But alas, he is theirs, so all his eat sh!t actions, those that if performed by a dookie would generete eternal conmemnation in terpland, are embraced.

Pitiful.

Enjoy- but I would not join in...never really a point in that- witness the antics of the few high schoolers that showed up here:

Makes you appreciate CSUN fans even more.
You'd think it was seven years ago, considering how uniformly awful their fanbase seems to be.
Maryland appears to be well on their way to winning the 'Most Classless Fanbase We've Ever Encountered' Award.
It's ancient history now, but South Carolina was pretty bad, too. And 9BC, of course.

I doubt they can take the place of Michigan State as the most classless. They were BAD last year...until the whooping we put on them.
Michigan St fans were much worse last year. Followed closely by UCLA.
I would have to say Mich St. is the worst as well.
Let them all talk, this will be sorted out fairly quickly. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. No amount of bullshi!t talk will change anything.

Agreed. So far Maryland fans are a very distant third. They're classless, but boringly classless. No creativity.

Just like their food, crab-cakes. Good (sometimes great) but nothing to get worked up over. BBQ, we'll go to the mat for that stuff.
Cleveland State
Someone should tell the pillsbury dough boy that the man who will be scoring on him tomorrow will be Vasquez, not Sanchez

"Here's what Henderson-Niles knew about the Terrapins: "We really ain't talked too much about Maryland. We watched a little film on 'em one time, and I know they got a good player -- I don't know his name -- but he good or whatever, so we just going to try to do what we do and stop him. I ain't never seen them; I know they got one good player, Sanchez or something like that; whatever his name is." "

I live in NC. They're classless fanbase makes the Dukies look like choirboys.

Typically we don't pay too much attention to teams that haven't sniffed the top 25 in a few years. You clowns act like you won the ACC...you snuck in the tourney thru the back door...your season ends tomorrow. Now get on outta here.

Sorry I haven't heard of Sanchez, Valdez, Gomez or whoever the hell you are talking about either. I don't spend my time watching second rate teams from the ACC.
yeah I guess you havent heard of the guy thats name is in the title of this thread, but you probably went to memphis so the best part of these threads for you is all of the bright colors and pictures

The Pillsbury dough boy will pimp slap your a$$ all the way to Annapolis and then you will be begging him to stop and wishing you were giving a Dirty Sanchez to Dave Neal.

Go to bed. You are going to have a long depressing day tomorrow. Rest up for it.
Actually, I don't think Pierre will be guarding Vasquez. Won't it be, uhhh, you know, that guy whose name starts with "A" that shuts everyone down?
You mean like the bright red your team's butt is going to have tomorrow when we are through with them?
I can see the headline now: "Vasquez Goes Home With Dirty Sanchez".

I get it...we're from the South, which means we can't read. Wow...well done.

Hard to beat a combination of classless and unoriginal.
dont worry once he drives by Antonio "Iz bee lokin down teh confenze usa supastas" Anderson Pillsbury will be waiting, and then will be scored on
No there are plenty of good schools in the south. Memphis is not one of them.

The word South is capitalized. You should have learned that in school.

Lots of good schools in the East. Maryland sure isn't one of them.
We don't capitalize words such as city, state, federal, national, etc. when those words are used as modifiers "There are federal regulations about the relationship of city and state governments. Even as nouns, these words do not need to be capitalized: "The city of New York is in the state of New York" (but it's New York City). Commonly accepted designations for geographical areas can be capitalized: the Near East, the American South, the North End (of Hartford), Boston's Back Bay, the Wild West. Directions are not capitalized unless they become part of the more or less official title of a geographical entity: "He moved from south Texas to South Africa."

Is that the same Antonio Anderson that has help take this program to elite eights and a national championship in the past 4 years. Same AA that has the most NCAA wins in history. Same AA that owns 4 conference championships. You guys say the same S*** every year about our basketball team but we still beat guys in the tourney. What have your Basketball program accomplished in the past 4 years. Any elight eights, National Championship?

Are serious...with your best player speaking spanglish.
The South is considered a distinct region of the U.S. Ergo, it is capitalized.

Quote:Rule 7. Capitalize points of the compass only when they refer to specific regions.
Examples: We have had three relatives visit from the South.
Go south three blocks and then turn left.
We live in the southeast section of town.
Southeast is just an adjective here describing section, so it should not be capitalized.

well Ill be darned I was not aware of that. I will concede that Memphis is an outstanding academic institution and is worthy of Ivy league consideration. Us northerners just can not grasp the concept of when we should capitalize directions.

Naw just Maryland fans
wow, grammar smack. Both sides are weak. When a school's fans try to bring academics into the realm of message board smack, you know no they think they are in trouble. After AA shuts down Vasquez...after Tyreke goes for 17, 8, and 8....after Taggart and Dozier go for double-doubles....basically, after tomorrow, we will never hear from these guys again. We will go on to hear elitist smack from those other Tigers or have some good natured ribbing from our good friends in Milwaukee. I'd love to have an ole fashioned CUSA showdown with Marquette. I always like their teams and their fans. They've got class unlike many other fanbases we've encountered (6bc, SC, Michigan St., Kentucky, ucla-la, Arkansas, etc.)
