Understand it was with a placement agency. But it was the first bite I had. She said that she had no problems with recommending me for positions. At the moment, they don't have anything but that companies were beginning to re-evaluate their situations and were calling them again. No one is really looking to hire long-term right now but something is better than nothing right now.

She also gave the name of another agency that only does legal stuff and has high profile clientele. so I will look into that one too.

Thanks everyone for praying. I need something to happen. I really want to stay here but need a job before the end of May or I will have to move back to Memphis. 03-weeping
Kitten,
Just want to say one thing, sometimes the road of life has some curves in it that we don't understand but end where we were wanting to go.
Perservance will pay dividends.
Don't give up hope. I'm currently with a consulting firm and it took them about a month or so to find me something. I'm almost 3 months into a 6 month contract-to-hire position.
Do not be discouraged. There is time for your efforts to pay off.
Right now Kitten, a good job anywhere will be a good thing.
Keep the faith!
Go Tigers!
hang in there!
we're prayin for you
Good luck, we all wish you well.
Ditto on the wishes and prayers! 04-rock
Two quotes for you Kitten from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.:

Regarding your job hunt . . .

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

Regarding leaving the board because of feeling like opposing views are maligned . . .
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

Think about those two quotes and 1) Stay hopeful and steadfast in your dream to live and work in NYC; and, 2) Stay on the Board.

We miss you . . .

I'll have to ask my husband if a paranormal affair "counts." I mean, it's not like you have a pulse any longer!!!!! LOL!
