What happens in the tournament?

We beat Denver. Troy smokes us on Monday. WKU wins going away (Troy just can't shoot like that 2 nights in a row).

I feel pretty good about beating Denver. After that who knows.

My gut feeling is Troy UNT in the final. Hope I'm wrong too.

No way in hell that happens. Our guys are much too driven and focused right now to allow Troy to "smoke" us. They beat us by, what...5? at home and we did not have Big Mike and Burton was ill. If we beat Denver and have Troy in the crosshairs, we will pop them good. We need to avenge a home loss to them, and then move on to give Western KY hell to the wire. Go for broke, pull out all the stops and win the whole damn thing.

It seems like every year we are "one and done". I feel good about the one, once again. Then it's likely Troy or USA, who both have 3 players on the all conference team. We only had one, but Fowler probably deserved it, although there is no way I thought a guy with his numbers (that's all most folks look at) would make it. I wonder if Stevee would have made it if he was still on the team? I bet he would have.

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong. But we have not yet beaten either other top team. Defense only gets you so far. You still have to score more points than the other guys. Troy has averaged 77 PPG to our 67 PPG.

That's what makes me nervous. When our offense performs even reasonably well, we are competitive with most anyone. But sometimes our offense just disappears. Here's hoping our four seniors have the three best games of their careers.
