Maybe a pro-Watson guy reserved that site so the con-Watson guys couldn't register it.

So, who is james branch?
Watson's Uncle.
Actually there was an Allan Branch that played at UAB several years ago. He was an offensive lineman I think.
Not me, I don't want to Fire Watson, just our broken Bolt........

as a former player and now professional web designer its my duty to create the site.....

please email me if you would like to contribute copy/ facts/ ideas/ or images

I will have quotes and interviews from my friends, former players and current players who will NOT be named.

I had a great experience at UAB under Brown but he is not a good coach - this site will not slader brown's name but it will have facts and opinions of all -

UAB is playing without pride and emotion and it truly makes me sick to be associated with the program.

Coach Brandon Herring whom I played with it is a good coach as is Coach Sullivan who I truly look up to.
You know you've hit it big time when you have a "FireOurCoach.com" site
Somebody who posted on the al.com site said he was gonna start it up. Never had seen his nick there before, so it wasnt a regular poster, or else someone wearing a new mask, so to speak.
Allen Branch was listed as a Soph on the 2001 preseason squad (#66) 6'4" 320 offensive guard. It appears he went to high school in Panama City Fl and started his collegiate career at some place called Lindenwood College. I guess he transferred to UAB. Some time thereafter, he appeared to have quit or got booted from the team- not sure which, but he didnt make it to the 2002 season.
Lindenwood is in St. Louis.
Sour grapes.

It's up and I don't like it.

I think it is pretty tasteless actually.
I havent seen it but I think it is classless to do such a thing. :chair:
Blazer Engineer Wrote:I havent seen it but I think it is classless to do such a thing. :chair:
Classless? Pray tell.
You drag the team down as well right now. If you want to do it thats fine but do it after the season. The dude that started it is a former player and said he has friends on the team. The point is that aint helping the team right now.
Hello to those of you posting my home address that's not cool. Even if you disagree with the site - please from one human to another delete my address - I know it can be found on the whois look up but for safety reason I don't want people having my address

now that out of the way - I am free for discussion

but first learn more about me and my thoughts ----

my name is ALLAN BRANCH i played offensive guard - I was the rotating guard - I played both left and right guard - second series I would play left guard for preston fray the then third series I played right guard for larry coachman or andy galloway. Four series rest and fifth back in.

I walked on and redshirted, then traveled (and played) for the next year without a scholarship. I traveled to all the games (yes conference games which I believe was only 48 people i am unsure) I was the ONLY walkon that traveled to conference games. I watched countless others not travel with a scholarship and many grad. without ever playing a down.

Finally I came to the conclusion my life wasn't always going to be beer and football I needed a plan for my life after football. So i left, went to UF and graduated with a 3.95 in graphic design and married the girl I met while playing football. I am not bitter or resentful but I feel like I was pasted over several times on scholarship opportunities due to my parent ablity to help support me. However I kept a full time job during the offseason and during the full year of my redshirt year to help pay for my books, living costs and out of state tution. However the scholarship wasn't the reason I quit - I was sliding thru school without a care not worried about education - I felt I made the hardest decision, I picked the hardest path, I left a sport that I had put 9 years of my life into - football was all i knew and I left it behind me.

Now being that said - I go to every home game and I have a UAB car tag - I am a fan and I love this program and team - I am proud of my time at UAB, I played college football against major college athletes and held my ground - i benched 550 pounds a feat not many can do. I made lifelong friends too and I met my wife in birmingham.

If I had ill will towards the program I wouldnt go to games - in fact 3 of my 5 groomsmen in my wedding were UAB players - So flame away - but I feel I am not doing this site out of resentment or ill will - I feel like UAB deserves a better coach - from my standpoint current players, former players and fans of UAB Football.
also there is a questions and comment section of the site

you are more than welcome to submit your questions to watson brown - I know someone in the coach's office has been on the site already - an offical press release will go out on wednesday evening to all form of local and regional media so if you want a voice don't silence yourself

also dont pass judgement on my site until you visit it - no slander/ adult language will be allowed on the site

Well, just so you know, anyone can get your name and address by going to http://www.register.com
its called a whois lookup and yes it someone wants to go to the trouble they are more than welcome to have my address but public annoucing it is different - I could pull info on your from your IP address but that would be wrong also - I do appriecate you taking it down - thanks
Done
thank ATTALLABLAZE you're a class act!
Now answer my questions, who do we get to be AD and Head coach, because to hire both, it's gonna be a heck of alot more than Watson Brown costs?

Watson will step down any way in a couple of years and be the full time AD, (You heard it here first), Pat Sullivan will more than likely take over. Watson Brown is a very good AD, and you cannot argue that fact. Why risk screwing this up?

Watson Brown is not a great coach but he is the best we can do for the money "right now". If I had the cash to foot the bill for a quality head coach, I would pull the trigger in a heart beat. WE DON"T HAVE THE MONEY TO HIRE A HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AND AN AD!

If you know of someone who does, go get em' and I'll go get Steve Spurrier.

Support the Blazers! 04-rock
I would like to have Sullivan as HC and Watson as the AD and Bill Clay back to be DC

Sullivan gives and gets respect from his players. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He is a class act.

with a new coach and new (small yet expandable) on campus stadium this program could take off
I agree Allen but we will never see Clay again, he will be a Head Coach soon...... We can find another DC better than Bolt though, we need to be running a 4-2-5 with the tallent we are able to recruit here.
Clay was a great coach, but won't be coming back our way--unless he gets fired at OK State for giving up 56 points to Texas!

He's making almost $200K as a DC there. But, I think he's too old to be considered as a first-time head coach (I think he's probably 60+). He's been an assistant forever.

Hire Sully, and bring John Neal back as DC. That's my vote.
ATTALLABLAZE Wrote:...we need to be running a 4-2-5 with the tallent we are able to recruit here.
I said just about the same thing at the coach's show a couple of weeks ago; I suggested the 3-3-5, though.

Either way it goes, that's the defensive scheme that we could use with our undersized, but fast LB corps.
Thanks to A. Branch for creating a forum for discussion (not that this site doesn't already to that too, I do understand.). I did visit the site today and there are some things of interest. Before you make comments (pro or con) you should visit the site. Again, while this may not be the best idea for reinforcing a positive outlook for UAB football, it is an alternate view. Everybody agrees that there need to be changes, this is just additional place to discuss a couple of specific changes.
thanks BlazerChick - also if I felt this would hurt the blazer TRUST ME I would take it down in a second. I picked that domain ONE, before anyone could make a slanderous site TWO, to draw media attention to it.

Also I will allow submittions either pro or con Watson Brown. So post your thoughts
"I think that Watson Brown should be fired and we can hire an African American coach like Sylvester Croom. Look at all of the good he's already done for the SEC and the media really picks up on it. Just think about all of the good pub our university would get on Thursday nights if we had and African American like Croom. Ticket sales would rise 50% on the first day of an African American's hire. Of course if we had an African American like Sylveser Croom we probably wouldn't have to settle for Thursday night games anymore. If I had a kid I'd want him to grow up playing for an African American like Sylvester Croom. Think of all of the talent in state we could pull in if we had an African American like Sylvester Croom.

That's a comment on firewatsonbrown.com. LOL.
alliebranch66 couldn't hack it at UAB so they ran his a$$ off. His sour grapes toward Watson is his only reason behind this. Let's see how many interviews from other former disgruntled players (and current players as he claims) show up. By the way, my 12 year old could design a better website than that piece of crap!!!
BlazerSax Wrote:Well, just so you know, anyone can get your name and address by going to http://www.register.com
Then pray tell me why you or Monski haven't expose my name and address yet?
Because you have to register a URL first and tell them what the URL is. Then they can get your name and address presuming you used your real ones.

Moonlake you speak about people/ subjects and have no idea what you are talking about.

the site is 100% submitted by viewer - I merely presented a stage for people voices to be heard on

these "flame from the ignorant" are why I am most people stay off of forums - people seem to get large egos and talk beyond their scope on these forums - can people have conversation without people coming in and flaming?
Alliebranch66, I know a whole lot more about you than you think I do!!! I also know more about the current program than you since you left after a short tenure here at UAB. Therefore, you will have to flame me(or insinuate) with something other than ignorance. There were already plenty of forums for discussion on Watson Brown without you adding yours. Your confession that you "love UAB" and you have a "UAB cartag"(WOW, that's a new one) certainly gives you the right to set up what amounts to little more than a slander attack on Watson. If you really love UAB then why don't you take some of that large salary that you crow about and do something CONSTRUCTIVE for UAB football. Tell me ONE positive thing from your site that will help our team and coaches win the next four games(yes,a bowl game which you never participated in but Watson will)??????????? By the way, don't send me any more private emails. Just spew your disgruntled former player crap out here for everybody to see!!!!
1. you don't know - even if you have read the program 15 times and watch every practice - you still dont know me - second don't attack me with faults accusations - if I didn't like UAB then why would I give a crap about who is the head coach.

2. dont make attacks on my design work. honestly are you a designer? then you have no knowledge to present in this discussion. I know I made the right move in leaving football because my skills and degree have gotten me a GREAT job. I am proud of my decisions I took the hard roads - I walked on - I could have gone to Samford, GSU and other smaller schools but I decided to take the hard road. Then after I realize football ISNT LIFE - I left - hell I could have stayed finished my "career" gotten my parents into debt and 5 years later been in a jobless/ degreeless position.

3. If I didnt like UAB and the coach then why did I have lunch with Pat Sullivan when he came to Shand Hospital in Gainesville (where I went to school) after I quit?

you totally blow my mind in the fact that you want to come here and attack me - if bringing media attention to a stage where people can voice their OWN opinions is wrong than I am guilty

Why would I want to? 03-confused
Allie, reread my last post and tell me where I made a" false" accusation against you? Also, PLEASE answer my question which was in the last post. And finally, I do know more about you than you think and it didn't come from any football program!!!!
allie? its ALLAN

also you accused me of having sour grapes - I am through with your flames

I would love to drop names of current and former players but I will not that would hurt the program and hurt (the current players') football careers
OK, time for this thread to go to the smack board....
Allie, why don't you attempt to answer my question???? And by the way, nobody gives a rat's a$$ about how much you used to bench press. Answer my question, please??????? I am now asking you for the 2nd time to quit sending me more private emails.
Moonlake I am thru posting with you - your truly a piece of sh!t

in case anyone is wondering

here are my private messages to moonlake:
if your kid can design as good as me. then put them to work I make 60k plus bonuses and I am fresh out of college. Congrats on your kid they must have some real talent.

PS - if you were able to read I posted my history already on the thread - also why would I "get run off" when I was playing? That makes no sense
