Let the coaches figure it out which is their job.
They make between $70,000- $300,000 per year, it's their job to straighten this joke out.
What happened to personal accountability?
Like I said , as an alumni, my dollar is going to basketball until changes in the staff are made.
I have friends who are on the team also, they know what is going on.

A dollar is probably the amount you donate. If your loyalty to the basketball team is as strong, maybe you should keep your dollar.

As a fan, you go through the good and the bad. Everyone was upset after the loss, but most have calmed down. If you cannot support the team when times are bad, you're not needed when times are good.
Let me ask you a question..
What qualifications do you have to judge my choices?

If you are an alum, you may have.
All I know is this board is for UAB fans, if you're not going to be a fan, maybe you shouldn't be here.

My qualifications
I graduated from UAB in 1987.
I support my team through thick and thin.
I don't jump ship when they are losing.
Well, you need to tell that to about 25,000 other fans or alumni who are disgusted with what is going on.
I am a 1990 graduate and donate thousands of dollars to support the green and gold.
After a while, after being very , very , patient, it eventually runs out.
Everyone is different.
When you go to the grocery store and look for your favorite products that you buy year after year, and then it sucks, are you going to continue to buy that product?
Watson Brown does not have a good product, and I am not buying.
Sorry to disappoint you.
I agree with Memphis on this one, and I cannot imagine anyone more frustrated than I am.

I say let's evaluate this thing when the season is over, but for now I am with the team through the end of the season.

Bailing out is for "girlie men".

BTW - UAB Class of 86, UAB NAS since 87, Football supporter from the beginning.
I guess you were not a business major.
Computer Science Major & Business Major; Minor in Mathematics

It's your money, spend it as you wish.
Your right, no such thing as a free lunch.
So, if you're not an aslumnus, then you have no right to say anything? Am I understanding that to be correct?

Because, if that's the case, then that really ain't cool. I'm not an official alumnus, but UAB is in my blood (my mother graduated from there, my sister will graduate from there, and I actually went there before personal reasons forced me to leave), and I feel as a true fan that I have as much right to say anything as an alumnus.
dragonbreath,

Please..."Well, you need to tell that to about 25,000 other fans or alumni who are disgusted with what is going on."

No, he doesn't need to do that - because there aren't 25,000 other fans out there who come to the games week in and week out, and travel to many away games, like a lot of the people on this board. That's the equivalent of not voting in an election and then being disgusted with the President.

When players are fighting and complaining amongst themselves, that is not just a coaches' problem.

Actually UAB_Fan, by some schools (including Memphis) definition, you are an alumnus if you attended just one semester, even though you didn't graduate. There is apparently a definition of alumnus that refers to attending an institution, but not necessarily graduating.

So get your Alumni Society dues ready. :D
I bet the loss to Louisville last night really hurt you MemphisBlazer. It's a shame that both of the schools you are an alumunus of lost on national tv.
Well through a loophole, I don't think I am actually an "alumnus" of Memphis, since I took a non credit class. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If UAB had won Wednesday and we were still in the hunt for the CUSA championship, I would have been a big Memphis fan against Louisville. Now, I'm just glad I don't have to hear their crowing.

It's funny though, I am hearing the same complaints among Memphis fans that I hear from UAB fans: poor defense, great offense, The talk is almost a repeat of the aftermath ofthe UAB Tulane game.
but Louisville is a ranked team with the #1 offense in the nation. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Let's send this thread to the smack board shall we.....

Dragonbreath, you sure don't sound like a true fan.
