What's your point?
We were one of eight teams left standing, which is still better than most of y'alls sorry teams.
Just couldn't quite take the next step.
The hatred on this place for my Tennessee Titans just fuels my love for the team...lol.

This joke on the Titans is also a compliment to the organization.
Best regular season in NFL.

Dude, you gotta realize that the blue "T" is hated almost as much as the orange "T" in Memphis . You gotta learn how to to take it or ignore it, like a good Cowboys fan does when we hear similar things from folks like you.

Just a fan of the team that represents YOUR state.

I became a fan while I still lived in the state, and even after I moved to the state just to the south, that beautiful Titan blue continued to run through my veins.
I suppose I COULD have jumped ship on my team to start cheering for whatever team ended up with the greatest player in our university's history, but my roots with the Titans run deeper than that.

Oh, believe me, I LOVE the hatred...haha.
But I'm gonna fire back every time.

Besides, there isn't much that most Memphians don't hate..LOL.

if the rest of the STATE of Tennessee tries to act like Memphis is not actually a part of it and rather an annex of mississippi, if the people in Nashville refer to Memphis in the most vile, hateful, and racist comments, if the state legislature has a history of completely screwing the city of Memphis, how do you think that the Titans somehow represent Memphis?
the rest of this state acts like Memphis isn't a part of TN, and brother that is fine with me.
01-18-2009, 08:55 AM
They don't represent me HLT, just like the team on the Hill is "my state's team" I sure as hell aren't going to like them either. The Titans came along after I had picked a team 30+ years ago...no hard feelings.
My team is sitting at home for the first time in like 100 years, so I don't have a dog in this fight. I still can't believe it's Zona and Philly for the NFC title.

And I can dig that!
No one should dump their team after 30+ years.

4 game lead, with 4 to play.
Sitting home watching the playoffs with a punk QB that can't back up the crap that comes out of his mouth...and you're laughing?
Your team sucks, you fired the only redeeming thing about your team that was not named John Elway or Terrell Davis, and then instead of trying to get a coach with some real head coaching experience, they tried to get lightning in a bottle. What the hell is Josh McDaniel going to do when he realizes that they don't have a defense to enable him to take all of the offensive chances they did in New England?
Sad thing for you is that the Titans have a good chance of being right back in the playoffs next year, while your miserable franchise will be 5-11 and won't even be able to spell playoffs.
Not really surprised at all that you would root for a team like that.
Titans made the playoffs, and lost in the first game a team that if they win today, will win the Super Bowl.
I'll take 13-3 and making the playoffs any day over your team that can't hold a 4 game lead with 4 to play.
Ravens, Steelers, Eagles, and Cardinals fan(s) have a reason to chirp, you don't.
Go Titans.

I would hardly call the Broncos a miserable franchise.
They seem to have some issues right now--
Also, I am not sold the Titans haven't missed their window . Mawae is old as hell. Haynesworth is as good as gone unless he gets franchised. Young is a head case that doesn't fit your system. In a way I hate FA though, becuase the identitiy of your team changes so much.
The Ravens stand to lose Suggs, and Ray Lewis? That isn't even gonna be the Ravens then. I am glad to see this much interest in the NFL--no matter who we all root for.

I don't think we'll be 13-3 and the #1 seed next year...but I think 11-5/10-6 and the wild card is more likely...unless things get crazy and they put VY back in.
I really dislike the Ravens...but I can't think of two players I enjoy watching play more than Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. D-Mase will always be one of my favorite Titans.
I'll actually be rooting for the Ravens today against the Stealers.

Tough loss for the Ravens.
That was by far the most physical, brutal football game I have ever witnessed.

We can't franchise Haynesworth due to him making the Pro Bowl (pretty smart clause he put in his contract).
We'll try to keep him but in typical Titans fashion will not overpay for him. Julius Peppers is an UFA and might be an option.
No way Ray Lewis leaves the Ravens.
