The facemask wasn't crap, look at it on replay
01-03-2009, 11:33 PM
LOL at you. They were both good calls. LOL at Peyton Manning being the MVP.........
01-03-2009, 11:33 PM
They called holding instead of pass interference which saved the 10 yards. Colts are the most penalized team in the nfl.
01-03-2009, 11:33 PM
The third down holding call was garbage. But I'm cool with it. ED HOCULI (sp) screwed them in a more obvious manner.

bye bye colts!

Happy Feet Manning lost that game with that stupid empty backfield call on 3rd and 2

John Madden did say that the lead ref called more penalties than any other crew chief in the NFL. No way the colts were going to win. The public betting was heavy on them
01-03-2009, 11:43 PM
I was talking about on some of their " big " run plays in the 4th qtr... there was holding all over the line ..and i like the colts ... damn the titans !!!!!!

NFL is fixed more than the NBA is.

Oh, but about the game... Manning can suck it. It's always good to see him start vacation in January.

it still amazes me....people either dont have DVR's or they just dont take the time to look at the replay before they make posts like this.....both were good calls and more than that....Obvious penalties.......Colts screwed themself when it mattered the most....Chargers played with heart and won the game.
01-04-2009, 12:32 AM
The San Diego punter screwed the Colts the most tonight.

I think you mean Patriots fans. DeAngelo was off the board before Indianapolis selected. As I recall it was the Pats fans that bragged at what a steal they got in Maroney instead of DeAngelo or Addai.

I blame Chris Berman for my dislike of the Colts. Having to hear the Swami say Joseph " Live and Let" Adai over and over and over..................

I will hold off on smack talking untill the Titans win their game. Don't need any bad karma because whoever we play, the Chargers or the Ravens, it will be a tough matchup.

There was one bad call in that Super Bowl. That was the low block call or whatever it is called on Hasselbeck after he threw an interception. All of the other calls were legit. The Seahawks just lost that game.

that's a tough one. the colts did win the SB in Addai's first season and he was an integral part of their SB run. So, Colts fans should not complain.

No, I typed it with both hands and then waved my terrible towel, smartass.

When the Chargers got the coin toss, I knew the Colts were in trouble. Their defense didn't look good last night.
The calls were legit in that game, not like the way the refs and review refs in the Liberty Bowl helped Kentucky with the recovered fumble...the player's knee was down. Guess they figured the game would go into overtime and one of those refs was on up there in age.

Colts had a false sense of security by smoking the best team in the NFL in last week's "scrimmage" with the Titans.

The Colts bragged too. They said Addai was who they wanted all along because he had better feet than Maroney and Williams.
01-04-2009, 10:47 AM
The calls were both correct. The Colts had the chance to stop that last drive twice and failed. The face mask penalty was clearly a major one.
01-04-2009, 11:04 AM
no, the holding call was bad. contact was made and was continuous within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. the flag was thrown well after that. It was a bad call. The facemask was a no brainer, but San Diego should have already been forced to punt.
01-04-2009, 11:08 AM
I'm pretty sure that the Colts tried to trade up with the Panthers to get DeAngelo, but the Panthers wanted him. The Colts got Addai, and then after his rookie year, people were talking like he was going to be the next Marshall Faulk.
I'm not a Colts fan by any means, but I think DeAngelo would have thrived in their offense. Either way, it's working out okay for him I guess.

I agree. Should have been pass interference since the defender was clearly faceguarding.

I made this post for the lack of calls on both sides of the ball ! I dont care if their the most penalized team in the nfl , when john madden says the ref is the most penalty calling ref in the league thats messed up ... They should call the game the same ways .... all refs ... Just like mlb umps having dif strike zones !!!
