Does anybody here have an old record console (big pieces which include the speakers and usually a radio) that they want to get rid of? Lately I've gotten in the habit of buying old records from thrift stores, but have nothing to play them on. I especially want to play some of these Christmas albums I've bought such as Perry Como, Bing Crosby, and Johnny Mathis.

I've asked at thrift stores around town and most say they don't even pick them up anymore or just throw them a way, which is a shame.

I've got a turntable, but I don't want to have to hook it up to my receiver. Basically I just want one of those giant old record players. Also does anybody have any old records they are looking to get rid of? (To save you some time, I already have "Purple Rain" and the "Mary Poppins" soundtrack)
I know a playa who has a police record.
Saw one of those recently here in SA on Craigslist. Might wanna keep an eye on the Craigslist in Memphis.
Check out some local goodwills. I found a nice one just like you described at the one here in bartlett about a year ago, but I plugged it in and the speakers didn't work. Some dimwit and cut the wires.
I know where a broken one is. But I'm not hauling that thing from Knoxville...
I've been keeping an eye on Craigslist but haven't seen anything good yet. I'm sure I'll eventually find one. I'll probably have to figure out how to repair it though, but it will be fun.
